Berrington goes for 70 153-5. Scotland could do with putting a few more runs on the board in case they don’t beat Oman.

Scotland finish on 165-9, lost 4 wickets in the last over. Should’ve really been over 180/ but lost 6 wickets for 15 runs trying to chase a big total. Should still be more than enough.

Really poor last few overs and, assuming they do defend it, doesn’t do much for the net run rate.
Davey has struck, PNG 6-1.

A bit of defiance for a spell there from PNG. Great wicket keeping to see Doriga go though.

That was a bit close for comfort. If Oman win against Bangladesh then Scotland will qualify.

Bangladesh 112-4 after 15… I would say that is very evenly poised, if Oman don’t win then a heavy win for Bangladesh would be good to put a dent in the Oman NRR. The latter seems unlikely at the moment.
Edit: Actually, we could of course knock Bangladesh out on NRR so I’ve no idea if it matters how much Bangladesh win by…Last edited by hibee62; 19-10-2021 at 03:34 PM.

It’s not all come together for Scotland in the last two games, hopefully it does today and we’ll win if it does.

Of course the Scotland v Oman game does become a dead rubber, for Scotland at least, if PNG beat Bangladesh this morning. Strikes me as unlikely though…

Game about to start. 50 50 game for me. Oman have a few very good players Jatinder for one. Would be a huge win for Scotland think they can do it.
Jatinder run out for 0 first over.Last edited by JimBHibees; 21-10-2021 at 02:04 PM.

I suspect these last overs for Oman are where the game is going to be won or lost. Keep it tight Scotland.
