    Pollution no more.

Some of the current double parking and parking around Leith is ridiculous so glad something is being done about that.

Will they make those who park and pay for a permit near the stadium move still on a match day ??

Always much quicker parking further from the ground and walking rather than sitting in traffic / tram roadworks.

Also I assume you can do pay and display in these areas still so that's still possible.

If I can’t park anywhere near the stadium I would definitely give up my season ticket. Public transport isn’t an option and it would be a total waste of money. There will be many more like me unfortunately for Hibs.

Is there not an app where you can hire someone’s driveway for a few hours?

Sure I read someone talking about that when going to hampden recently.

Maybe not ideal but hopefully it might be an option.

Zones N6 and N7 are only in operation between 08.30 and 17.30 Monday to Friday though.

Given we play on weekday evenings or weekends I don't think this will make any difference to people's ability to park near the stadium - people can park on single yellow lines or in controlled zones outwith the times listed above for N6 and N7.

There’s loads of folk share cars coming in from out of town, take turns driving so they can go for a few pints before the game. The vast majority, especially the older less fit will give it a miss as the hours it would take on public transport make it very difficult. It’s hard enough to drag myself along as it is just now without adding hours onto the journey. I really can’t see an option to park in a driveway in Lochend being much of a success TBH 😃

I’m not sure if that’s good news or spoils my excuse for not going. 😂

Forgive me if this comes across as insensitive.

To my mind, unless there are physical or other impairments is it unreasonable to expect those who can to walk to the stadium, even from the extreme ends of the parking restrictions? Or am I missing something?

My Dad spent years telling me we'd "never get parked" near the stadium when I was young - we had longish (20-30 min) walks from various spots he'd identified. When I eventually learned to drive myself, I proved him wrong by being able to get parked fairly close most weeks ( within 5-10 mins) - and referred to his approach to parking as the Alex Miller approach.

Now his mobility is in a bad way I park 300 yards from the stadium, so I'm glad my more daring approach to seeking out parking spaces had paid off.

A 50 mile round trip by bus and 2 mile there and back walk to the stadium would be too much for me at my age I’m afraid.

My reading of the council docs is that there are no current restrictions in the streets listed but they are looking to bring in controlled parking - assigning these streets to Zone N6 and N7. So would be fine to park outside the times listed.

That said, the documents aren't the easiest to follow......

From what has been said, it looks as if there is no change to the current situation on matchdays.

Would the park and ride not be an option? Not ideal but might be a bit easier

Nearest is Straiton so no. Hopefully as somebody has posted, the restrictions are not on match days.

On the few occasions I’ve tried it, I don’t get home until around 7:30 on a Saturday 3pm kick off as opposed to 5:30 in the car. Plus I’ve got a bad knee so any distance walking causes me problems, if that’s ok with you. 😃
