HiBS THE FIRST BEAMBACK
https://youtu.be/_bQgD6Xa4lg
Hibernian Football Club were once again innovators when due to popular demand and the shortage of briefs from Ochilview they decided to beamback live coverage of a Scottish Cup tie with Stenhousemuir to Murrayfield Ice Rink
See if you can spot yourselves

I got a ticket for the Stenny end due to a mate knowing Peter Cormack (jnr). Went to the loo and exited via the Hibs end to meet up with my family. Loads of other Hibs fans who'd got away end tickets doing this until they cottoned on

I managed to get a ticket but my brother went to the beam back. They had knocked out a very good Aberdeen side so media frenzy over another upset
A friend of mine who is QoS supporter was at Ochilview for a lower league game when the police came over from
the main stand to talk to him about his language
You can’t hear me from over there he said
Seemingly one of the residents whose garden backs on to the away end had phoned the police to complain about this one fan who would not stop swearing and shouting
Real old fashioned ground

I loved that strip. I was at the actual game and there was a big close up of my brother and I walking out at the end of the game

I managed to get five tickets for the whole family at Stenhousemuir match in 1995. They had beaten Aberdeen in the previous round.
We ended up sharing a crash barrier with two Proclaimers.

We went to the game and were in the Stenny social club beforehand. Great day out.

Great day out, in their social club with Dickie Baird beforehand - pretty sure it was only a pound or so for a nip. Don't remember much of the game!

That was a great day out (at the game), press desperate for Hibs to get pumped IIRC.

The boy thats uploaded that has an incredible amount of hibs content on his YT channel. I've been subscribed to his channel for ages now, he uploads some great stuff.

His rendition of 12 days of Christmas is hilarious."...when Hibs won the Scottish Cup final and that celebration, Sunshine on Leith? I don’t think there’s a better football celebration ever in the game.”

But you were right that they had recently been a good side (challenging for the league even the previous season) and the sudden decline of both Aberdeen and Dundee United (Scottish Cup holders) was an absolute delight. The first time Hibs had finished above both since 1976 IIRC. The only sad thing was that Hearts (who faced relegation yet again until late in the season) survived at the expense of both.

In fact he said it was the worst result in Aberdeen’s history.
