    Social clubs near Hampden

Anyone suggest a decent social club near Hampden for pre match refreshments, bus going from Sighthill.
    Cheers in anticipation

We always go here. We are booked in from 1.

    Manager is called Alex - +44 7760 995912

It’s a 20 min walk from Hampden or you can get the bus to park in behind Boozer and take you up.

There's two within a really short distance but one of them has sadly closed (Mount Florida). Kingswood (opposite the Beechwood) is still open but I'm not sure if they're open to the public

The Beechwood (pub) itself is pretty decent but you have to get there really early on match days.

If you do decide to go further afield, don't go to Rutherglen. It's one of the 'staunchest' places around. They even have a Union Jack on the roof of the town hall 365 days a year, and the lampposts are covered in them during the marching season.

We go to a bowling club in Rutherglen every time we’re through there. We were there in 2016 and are there again next month. Always a great welcome from them and they look after us tremendously.

Fair enough, I was thinking more about the local pubs.

There are a few nice bowling clubs in Rutherglen. Our one even lets us fly a Hibs flag on their official flag pole. So no union jacks when we’re there 😀

You could make a few bob by putting a marque in your back garden😀

Rutherford is good. Was in there before the 2016 cup final, so good memories too
