    Do you know Ryan Scoopy?

Is this just a gut instinct or have you heard him talk about moving?

Absolute travesty if he thinks it's best to move because of a welt like Gerrard and a press that is nothing short of a national disgrace.

The thing is, the most likely destination for Porto would traditionally be England. Another reason why Gerrard is such a ****bag is because he is so respected down there, clubs could be listening to his slavering vendetta against Porto, and looking elsewhere as a result. Gerrard's obsession with him could be having a negative impact on his career. Hibs need to be calling Gerrard out for the p.o.s that he his.

The very same. I’ve not seen footage again but the stills don’t make it look any better than I thought at the time.

I've managed to clip the video, but can't upload it.

How about getting our our video production team to put together some clips of yesterday’s game that our media ignored. Add in a few of the previous incidents involving Morelos and others.
Highlight stats like 70 games since the Rangers had a player sent off in a domestic fixture yet 5 sent off in 7 Euro matches.

Don’t make it look like a Club production , and get people on here to copy it to every every football website and sports paper we can think of.
Nah. I think when it eventually leaked that Hibs had made a video and put it out on the sly as if it was a fans thing, that’d be an utter embarrassment.

Hibs fans can do that without the club getting involved anyway.

It wouldn't achieve anything though. Large parts of the press and SFA would happily have let Rangers join the top league after they went bust. The Old Firm come first, and second and third and fourth in the list of priorities, the rest of us are just here to make up the numbers. They couldnae care less about our grievances, especially if they’re against Rangers or Celtc.

Ridiculous that anyone is defending the ref or siding against Porteous when stuff like this is right in front of your eyes.

If Porteous goes off for his then this is a red card. Off the ground and studs up

    Well, that's worse than Porto's.

They are both red cards. Lundstram's is worse.

Only before you take into consideration the variables. Porteous is playing for Hibs at Ibrox, so his tackle gets a multiplier. Lundstrom is at home for Rangers, in the league, with a *****bag weasel referee…and under those conditions, it was probably closer to being a foul in favour of Rangers, for Doig almost landing on him

I did say earlier Doig goaded him. Best not kick up a fuss.

    I've just looked at it.
From the one angle available i think there is a case for a red card under the present system.
Lunging into the tackle with both feet off the ground and like the Porteous one it intimidates the opposing player causing him to take evasive action.
Only thing that makes it look better is that he accurately blocks the ball whereas Porteous misses the ball with his front foot and keeps travelling at speed.
Neither Cliff nor Pat seemed to notice it on the commentary.

While I wouldn’t want Ron Gordon to speak it’s time for Ross to grow a pair and back his players .
Hughes calling Boyle diver no defence of player then Goodwin calling Porteous a diver no defence of the player .
It’s time he came out with not seen the replay yet but where I was in the dugout it looked like a penalty / not a sending off .
Later on he could be saying Porteous was not a sending off and there was a worse tackle on Doig.
    Time he got street wise

This is a brilliant example of the double standards - Jumping into a tackle, both feet of the ground.. I thought these tackles were an automatic red card, no?

Can Hibs report this to the SFA/Compliance officer ..?

This is why Porto will leave Scotland and play down South soon.

This 100 per cent. Jack is a nice guy and I'm glad he's our coach but he has to protect our players from the weirdos in the media who think they can take a pop and get away with it.

What do you want Hibs to do? What action are you talking about?

Do you want him to tweet something like Romanov used to?

Do you want him to try to get on tv to talk about how we’re cheated?

Do you want him to contact the league to complain (but obviously make it public so we’re not seen to be “swallowing the narrative”)?

The weegie press is taking the standard weegie press action just now. Gerrards come out after the game, and in his wee ratty **** fashion he’s had a go at Porteous.

A few pundits on the telly have said it’s a bad challenge.

Is Porteous s really being slaughtered in the media? Not for me.
It's not my place to say what to do. My background isn't in PR/Marketing/Media etc.. and I certainly don't want to see a Romanov type response applied here

You say porteous isn't "really being slaughtered".. well unfortunately he is. He has been for months and has developed a bad reputation because of 1 awful tackle against the same team. As a result this narrative has been allowed to grow and grow and we continue to stay quiet.

Lundstram's tackle on Doig was far worse but if you do a search for that online you can barely find any comments on it. Why? Because the focus is on Porto and everyone is turning a blind eye to any other goings on in the match - I'd like to of seen us raise Lundstram's tackle to the public and trade some blows with Rangers over this but we stayed quiet..

My concern is Porto thinks enough is enough and there is no point in him playing in Scotland anymore.

I'm not sure how it would pan out if Hibs appealed the red, given the media coverage I don't think it is worth it.
This hadn't crossed my mind but It's a real possibility..

Which bit do you disagree with? What’s your explanation for Llundstram not being sent off for an identical challenge (and again, not even a foul, same as Porteous’s should have been)

I like Ross as a manager but I think he needs to be a bit more streetwise when dealing with stuff like that.

He should be pushing back on it and saying the crowd impacted the decision, he's not sure if it was a rangers player if he'd have been sent off ect. Anything that might just nudge a 5050 decision in our favour next time we play.

Ross is a straight talker but I do wish he'd play the game a little bit more.
He's a very rational person which is a rare attribute to find in someone and I wouldn't change it one bit but I'm similar to you, I'd like to see him be a bit sharper in these situations, fight back - not with irrational outbursts - but by trying to turn the agenda/narrative around post match in these situations

For what it's worth, can any of you imagine the Neil Lennon post match reaction after this if he was still in charge...

It's not identical, he makes heavy contact with Doig. The timing makes it much more reckless.

I think I’m trying too hard to be impartial and give the referee some benefit of the doubt and even still its a shambles
