Just walked into Tamsons and said 'that one was for Hampden lads'.

Was it not a penalty then?

I assume it hit the boys hand, not sure he could have done much about it though?

He was absolutely awful, didn't think any of our 3 penalty shouts were actually penalties but to penalise Nisbet when he was away was a joke and also Efe took Boyle clean out the game

Hit his hand but it was fired at him from 2 yards away and he had his hand tucked into his body. We'd have been fuming if it had been given against us

It hit his forearm which was away from his body, with his upper arm tucked in. Pen in today's football world, however harsh it is.

Awful ref, he’s either inept or he’s cheating

From the far end of the East I thought it smacked the defender in the face however the way people reacted I figured it must have hit his arm. If the shot is on target its a pen in todays game however it seemed harsh

I'm not convinced. Was in by his side and fired at him from pretty close.

Considering we should have had at least one penalty in the first half St Johnstone can't have any complaints.

And if they do, then **** them.

When was the penalty appeal in the first half? Can only remember McCarts good tackle and I think Clark got a touch on the ball when we dives at the feet of Nesbit

Is the rule now not if it stops a goal bound shout it is a pen, irregardless of intent etc? Which I'm fine with.

The booking was maybe harsh but then getting a second was silly of McCart.

It's strange as I have no doubt he's as staunch as staunch comes but I've never thought he was biased. He just seems to ignore fouls that are blatant then gives ones that are questionable.

I thought he was very inconsistent with decisions going for and against both teams. Some obvious howlers

Bizarre performance and seemed to have a 5 second delay before making any decisions. Delighted to get the pen though and at least he clamped down on the constant dissent from the St J players.

Question: When is a penalty not a penalty?

Answer: When it's awarded to the opposition.

Both were in front of me and I agree that McCart got the ball, but it certainly looked like Nisbet touched the ball before being brought down by Clark. For obvious reasons there wasn't a replay on the big screen.

Maybe someone watching on Alba will be able to clarify what happened?
Mature, sensible signature required for responsible position. Good prospects for the right candidate. Apply within.

That's what I thought, possibly a correct decision under today's rules. Might be harsh but if his arm was slightly out (i.e. making his body artificially bigger) and the ball hit it, then it's a penalty. It doesn't matter if the shot was from point blank range and there was nothing he could do about it. Ball played man / accidental doesn't come into it any more, he stopped a shot with his arm so if it was out from his body a little then it's a penalty. Don't particularly like the change to the rule but that's what it is.

Would like to see it again to see the arm's position.

Not sure why they don't do replays on screens, but pretty sure they don't at Hampden either.

Good shout. Will tune in to Alba in 10mins to watch it again.

Scott Allan going into the box, boy clearly stands on his foot and takes him out, no idea who said player was.
