Newell and Allen are passengers in that midfield.

I don't think we've been as bad as some are making out. They're a difficult team to play. At times we've knocked the ball about well, at others some of the things haven't worked. A different referee and a change of footwear for Boyle and things would look better.
We look more likely to score than them.

No surprises so far, you could have pretty much predicted every single thing that happened.
Ugly, huff and puff, solid enough at the back but just lacking a bit of inspiration in the final third to break down a well-organised unit.
All set so far for the routine 1-0 St Johnstone win I'm afraid.

Strange half.
Started well and knocked it about quite nicely then it all just went to hell for about 20 minutes. We were wasteful, panicking and scrappy. We seemed to just about sort it out for the last few minutes of the half.
They are a nightmare to play against. Yes they are niggly, industrial and spoil the game but they are also a very well organised unit who know what they are set up to do. It's pretty ugly but effective, particularly against us.
Big 45 minutes ahead. First goal wins it.PM Awards General Poster of The Year 2015, 2016, 2017. Probably robbed in other years

I actually thought we played pretty well. I’d sub Allan for Doyle Hayes though.
Do you think your security can keep you in purity, you will not shake us off above or below. Scottish friction, Scottish fiction

****in hell I came on here from the stadium to see what everyone thought. I think we’ve been ok against a team that’s bang in form. Allan has been decent and so has Cadden and Newell. Reading the comments on here you’d think we were losing. Deary me.
United we stand here....

I can see why people are frustrated and I am aswell, however, this is what it's like playing against St Johnstone.
Every team in the league finds it difficult against them, we just need to try and grind it out and take our chance when it arrives...

This game = last 4 games against this lot, Ross has learnt absolutely nothing from previous games, if we're playing a back 3 then why? St Johnstone play with one up top and stack the middle of the pitch, go to a 433 and stretch them out wide, Magennis is wasted sitting deep and Allan is getting nothing in this system.
