Hugh Keevins Calls Out OF Away Fans Ban

There's a good article in today's Sunday Mail by Hugh Keevins about the OF effectively banning away fans from their stadiums.

Celtic and Rangers away fan snub is blatant rule breach and SPFL must get tough as two clubs complain - Hugh Keevins

Obviously what he’s saying is right. It’s just really really badly written, which is annoying, and although he’s criticizing Rangers and Celtic it’s clearly from a position of OF self interest, ‘other clubs could respond in kind, and hurt travelling old firm supporters as well’, typical Keevins really.

It's an ill thought out headline but at least the MSM are actually willing to criticise the Uglies for once, which is quite refreshing.

This is a different Aidan Smith to Hibs fan who writes for the Scotsman and did that ridiculous heartfelt book?

Either a very old photo (and it would be in black and white) if it was that aidan Smith. He was at school at the same time as me.

He'll have a hidden agenda. Wouldn't trust his views.

Wow, articles in two papers that dare to finally call out the behaviour of Celtic and The Rangers and the reaction is 'stupid headline, 'not a good photo' and 'hidden agendas'.

What's next, the font is rubbish?

I remember listening to Keevins on radio Scotland after we beat the huns in the 91 LC semi. He was almost in tears speaking about what we'd been through and what we'd achieved that night. I honestly thought he was a Hibee.

Yes ,I have begun to warm to the man in the last few years, maybe age is mellowing his views.

He has in the past spoken extremely highly of The 1970's Hibernian team, saying that without serious bad luck and a great Celtic team in their way would have won much more.

    In short,not all bad.
