"The beautiful game is over" (NHC)

    https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/neymar-paqueta-yellow-card-rainbow-flick-b1926193.html

Says Neymar after a Lyon player is yellow carded for attempting a rainbow flick.

Like with most people, I'm not Neymars biggest fan but I tend to agree with him here.

Penalising players trying to be clever and use skill seems a dangerous road to go down.

There’s usually more to these things than the headline. He was apparently booked for ignoring the referee who was trying to speak to him.

Just seen that, pretty poor I agree.

Never thought I'd hear a serial diver and roller abouter complain about the beautiful game being over just because something he doesn't like happens, some might say the diving and rolling about already took us a long way down that path.

Clear as day it was a booking for blanking the ref and nothing whatsoever to do with his flick. Click bait at it best (worst).
