Be funny if you could mirror your phone to the big screen 🤯
I've been watching the Edinburgh book Festival this way, and will do the same for bloody Scotland next month.
There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

What will the screens have on them besides the score and time? Would ideally like to see scorer names and live score updates from other Scottish games.
They do this at Bundesliga grounds and it adds to the atmosphere imo

I'll be stunned if they aren't making a profit after a year.... waste of investment if that was the case. The will have a burn down of about 4 years so they really need to be turning a profit early.

If true, that is so environment unfriendly and also quite a high risk investment.
From what i can find online the current technology for LED screens like this is about 60,000 to 100,000 hours lifespan.

If we played 25 home games per season and used the screens for 4 hours at a time that would still be in the region of 1000 years of usage

Rangers have never replaced theirs and they seem to use them a lot on matchdays

Just imagining someone moaning in 3021 that we haven't replaced the screens yet whilst everyone else has been using temporal augmentation technology.

Would be awesome to have some great pre match visual entertainment such as player introduction when announcing the team.
Midweek under the lights v Hearts or Huns, get the visuals right and a soundtrack to match and that 5 minutes till kick off period could be goosebump and fever pitch inducing.
Using the new screens and Led ribbon (happy to wait for the disco lights) for this is the real benefit for fans. This will be a massive improvement in match day experience and one the Jambo can’t match because their stadium is mince. Let’s get it done.

They should do that thing they do in the States. If the camera picks you out when sitting next to a lady you have to snog them 😂💚 or is that just in the movies 🤷

Hopefully the old boy who was all over Facebook looking at the scuddies mid game at the weekend doesn’t accidentally connect to it 😂

Only the return of our own railway stop will truly complete the infrastructure spending at Easter Road.

If you get the train from Galashiels to Waverley as you come into Edinburgh you can actually see ER's superstructure from the train, it looks like around a 10 minute walk away at most. If they were to build a temporary stop there just for when Hibs are at home I would get the train to the football far more often. As it is you have to go all the way to Waverley after which it's a half hour walk or a bus or taxi.

Assuming that's the line that goes under the bridge of doom?

Ideal location for a future tram stop.

    Stupid question but...

Why not just two screens, at opposite corners of the stadium?

That would save a bit of money, surely?

Easier to install in corners than attaching to roof of FF and south stands.

I think he meant why not two diagonally opposite corners (rather than the two corners at either end of the East), meaning that one of the two screens is visible from every seat. That's what I originally expected as well, but there must be some factor makes it impractical to use either of the West/FF or West/South corners.

The West/FF corner is where the TV pundits set up their makeshift studio/scaffolding (pre-covid anyway) and pretty sure the West/South corner is where the away team's coach parks and the away team access the stadium from plus I think that's where the ambulance is too so might be why the screens will be either side of the East.

As far as I understand it the two main screens will be where the large advertising boards are at each end of the east stand. The gaps aren't big enough at the main stand for 'giant' screens at opposite corners. Could be totally wrong here.

    Mind the gap.

I'd love to know what mobile provider he was using! Both O2 and Voda are garbage for a signal in the West Lower. Soon as the game starts, the 4g dies.

I find it the reverse in the FF Upper. The 4G works fine during the match. Half time and it dies because of bandwidth issues.
