6 wickets for 20 odd runs, quite pitiful really.

England's reviews so far compared to India's yesterday have not been good enough.

India 104-3, cloud cover assisting Jimmy. Kohli out first ball to a cracking Anderson delivery.

Anderson is bowling so well. They’re going off for bad light though.

If burns or root go tonight it’s probably game over already.

Yet again it’s down to Root to save things.

When you look at how the Indian opening batsman played, it’s like night and day compared to Burns and Sibley. Kohli comes in with a decent total on the board, Root comes in and has to try and salvage the innings.

Root is a class act surrounded by mediocrity. I saw a stat that root had faced something like 200+ dot balls in his innings. Now that is proper test match batting. 9 hours at the crease to make 180 is special.

He went past 9000 test match runs in that innings and has scored almost twice as many runs as the 2nd placed test match runs scorer this year.

India 286-8 @ lunch, might as well call it a draw now.

I thought they would’ve declared at lunch and had a go at bowling England out.

Aye I heard them mention that. It’s unbelievable when you think of how many matches England have played over the years.

Listening to TMS in the car a wee while ago, I'm sure they said that Root had scored 800 runs more this summer than Burns, who is England's second highest scorer. And JR being out just now for 33 represents abject failure for him, such is his form.
