    Kevin Nisbet

Looks like a far improved player this year. Scotland has done him the world of good.

I'll now be gutted if he leaves this year. Sorry for ever doubting you

He has had an excellent start to the season. His work rate and link up play have been superb and he looks very sharp.

    Yep, outstanding today.

The “back to goal” stuff was better than I can ever remember from him.

It would be brilliant for us if we were able to hang onto him.

  5. #4
Yup. Looks like he's come on at bit.

  6. #5
Improved his first touch and passing immensely. He was very unlucky with his shot that came off the post, it would have been a cracking finish

We won a watch signing Kevin

Far better footballer than I ever dreamed

Link up play is fantastic and works his backside off

Easily better than Dykes or Adams for Scotland too

His only downer was standing stock still at their first goal. I think he could have at least made a challenge. Mind you, I’ll have to see it again.

Like SJM did with us, I think he's been working hard in the gym. He looks a bigger prescence this season. Turned into a real pro now.

He was up for it and looked like he wanted to be on the park playing for the club. Good attitude and good performance from him today.

Was good seeing him go straight to Boyle to psyche him up for the penalty

as i said in another thread hats offto steve clarke and co in the scotland set up such an improvement in kev since returning from the euros. sky could be the limit for him now just hope he doesnt go somewhere to warm a bench a la riordan much too good for that.

Said before plenty times - since his first few games this guy is clearly top quality.

We’d have a big problem replacing him, regardless of transfer fee.

Looking sharp, his side footed shot off the post was class, just needed an inch of bend on it. Sadly though, like Doig another we may never see in the flesh

Best player on the pitch today. His calmness in front of goal sets him part from a lot of the better strikers in Scotland and is why he'll be a top striker in a better league. Outstanding today and will be sorry to seee him go.

Brilliant to see him dropping deep, controlling the ball so well and spreading it to others. Helps the team get up the pitch and his composure in the box was brilliant.

I hope we keep him as long as possible

If he plays like that in the next few games, there will definitely be some club out there that will pay what we want for him. It's a bit like when McGinn left.

His back to goal work really reminds me of Craig Brewster. We have a very good player on our hands here.

We seem to have quite a few players sub 25 who have a lot of promise. It’s a nice place to be.

Yeah it's a promising squad we are putting together. Big jib to replace any of them that leave however.

I don’t know if he’s got better over the summer or since he joined us or if that side of his game is just harder to appreciate on the tele?

Thought he was different class today.

Great player and desperately hope he stays. Celtic are the perfect example right now (as we have been in the past) that selling your top players for big money means a huge drop in performance on the park without sizeable reinvestment. Hope we don’t go down that path with Doig, Boyle and Nisbet.

Doig seems to be away so let’s keep the other two.

He absolutely was. He was the best player on the park by a long way, his movement and ability was excellent. Watching him in that game you could see he’s a cut above the rest. He didn’t always get the service, but when he did he very rarely wasted it. When Doidge came on and he had a bit of help he was immense. His shot that hit the post set up the equaliser and his shot that hit the defenders are led to the winner. I’d be very worried if he was to leave as it’s almost impossible to replace that kind of quality on our budget.

    United we stand here....

To be honest as much as I thought Kev played so well today I thought the big dutch lad up front for Well was the MOTM. He caused us all sorts of problems and will bag a few for Motherwell this season.

Kevin’s a far better player when he’s playing just behind the main striker. Thought he was much better after Doidge came on

Yes I think you’re probably right, but Nisbet can do what he does every week. Form is temporary, class is permanent.

    Don't you mean "cut of"?
