Forget about a hill above stadium. Police will not let You there, especially with club signs, for sure because it will be to close to northern stand.

I already explained situation with tickets for a game on other thread, if You want to go to the game with jerseys and flags, it will not be possible and police will not let You in due to UEFA regulations. But if You go as a tourists, I think that You will pass without any problems. On every game during summer we had a bunch of foreigners, people spending summer vacation here. So...
    Good advice

Welcome to Hibs.net, how many supporters will be allowed in do you think, and will it sell out?
Croatia is a lovely country & would be good to visit a new city, as 'a tourist' and get to the game.

Their stadium holds 8,279 people and the Rijeka fan on the other thread said Croatia doesn't limit crowd numbers just now.

Should get in no problem then, provided behaving ourselves.

    Thanks.

Normal capacity of stadium (without guests stand) is around 7.500 people. Yesterday against Gzira attendance was 2.200 (I know, poor one). So, I doubt it will be sold out.

At the moment there is no limitations in attendance number but attendance is allowed ONLY with EU Covid certificate with QR code (it can be on a phone or it can be printed on paper).

Northern stand is for home supporters (You need to be a member to buy a ticket), eastern and western stands are open for everyone. However, on eastern stand are mostly also home supporters because it is much cheaper than western.

The requirement for a QR code is bad news, the Scottish vaccination certificates don’t have one.

Highly unlikely to get into the game is the main issue with this one.

    No QR code, no party.

But, You can make Covid certificate here on site by testing in authorised facility. It works for Croatian citizens, if You are negative You get certificate same day on e-mail as .pdf file.

Authorised for testing is private clinic Medico, for example

I think the chances are high that anyone who is sensible & does their homework, will get in, based on what I've read.

You should also notice that stadium Rujevica is built basicly in the middle of nowhere.

    https://www.google.com/maps/place/HN...7!4d14.4022364

What do I mean? There is a bus line from the city but very rare. Best way is to go by the car (taxi is ok on a way to the stadium but there is no taxi stand at the stadium so to get back You have to call one) but then You need to know where to park because entries on western and eastern stand are on opposite sides and there is no possibility to walk around the stadium - do not ask me why.

Also, there is no organised parking area (parking on map is only for most expensive season tickets) so we park basicly everywhere around the stadium. Including main street. Police tolerates this "wild" parking during matches.

And to finish this story, there are no pubs around stadium. You can see Dockers pub and Lovorka restaurant on map, both working, but they are situated below eastern stand entry point and usually full of home supporters.

However, on stadium You have beer, nevertheless what stand. Half liter is 20 kn. Domestic manufacturer, just signed a contract with him. We are not delighted, perhaps You will have other opinion.

Also, there should be a small fan-shop below western and below eastern stand. Credit cards accepted.

If Hibs fans didn’t get in then a good few had a good view.

CCS kool kids from the capital.

Now that doesn't sound like it will strike the fear into opposing teams. Must be getting soft in their old age.

I think you arę right. Never understimate the ability of Scottish football fans to attend games they are told they can’t.

Didn’t get in but had a fairly decent view by the looks of it.

There’s a big hill behind the goals in Rijeka so anyone going might get a view from there!

    I do not recommend. Warmly.

How do you expect Hibs fans will be treated (by Rijeka fans and police) in the city? I wouldn't imagine there will be a lot of fans travelling but there will probably be enough for them to attract attention in the city before the match.

Please be aware by attract attention I mean general drinking ect and nothing malicious.

Pre Covid the only real problem I found with going to Croatia is that I really didn't want to come home

I will either go home from the pub tonight - and book the flights I've got my eye on, or wait until after 1st leg, and give best chance of being up to date with changing entry requirements.

As one that's only missed a couple 'o handful of European away games in around 30 odd years, including pre-season friendlies etc. I certainly would have been there yesterday and most likely in a fortnight but i'm in no mood to travel abroad during these times.

Entry to Italy from the UK
Until 30 August travellers who have been in the UK, in the previous 14 days, must present a negative molecular or antigen test taken in the 48 hours preceding entry into Italy. They must also self-isolate for 5 days, at the end of which they must take a rapid antigenic or molecular swab test for COVID-19 and test negative for release. Children under the age of 6, from the UK, do not need to test but are not exempt from self-isolation.

You’re not going to be able to go via Italy I think mate - the transit exemption only applies for vehicles I believe.

"Exemptions from testing and self-isolation may apply to travellers transiting Italy in a private vehicle for less than 36 hours and those travelling for proven reasons of work, health or absolute necessity, for less than 120 hours. The requirement to complete a passenger locator form will still apply to all travellers (even those exempt from testing and self-isolation)."

Unless you can prove your onward travel to Croatia is an "absolute necessity" then you'll need to isolate for 5 days on arrival.

Yes, I know what You mean.

Let me explain how it works here. It is 10 clubs in Croatian first league, only 5 have fans going on away games - Dinamo, Hajduk, Osijek, Istra and Rijeka. Basically, only these clubs have ultras. There is no more riots on stadiums because football games are secured by intervention police - nice gentlemen with helmets, body armour and shields. Since Croatia is small and with poor railway network, we are going on away games with cars. And then You have road blocks entering a city, so You enter stadium escorted by police, You are on the stand with 50-100 policemen and You leave city escorted by police.

We played 4 times EL groups in last 9 years. In these 5 years we did not reach group stage we played EL qualifications. So we played some good teams with respectable ultras groups. But generally only Ferencvaros, Feyenoord, Standard Liege and Stuttgart fans showed up in respectable numbers. And Abeerden, of course, I will come back to them. So, when they come in big numbers, usually there is a meeting point in the city, usually a square, where away guests spend time to the game guarded by police. But, all of this was pre-Covid.

Aberdeen - since Croats and Scots generally do not have disputes among fans, Aberdeen fans were allowed to walk around city in jerseys both times. Speaking of Aberdeen fans I do not mean Aberdeen casuals because they actually did not show up or, if they did, they came with their wifes and children. There was no incidents with our ultras. However, 3 years ago there was a incident in Aberdeen on second leg. Do not get me wrong, it is a part of "folklor", as we say, but it left a kind of bitter taste.

So, to answer Your question - if You are going to spend a time before a game like Scottish fans do, do not think that it will be a problem. But I am not sure that You will reach a stadium if police identify you as away fans. Covid times, UEFA regulations. Also, although stadium numbers are not limited, there is a limitation for bars and pubs which can only go in worse direction in next 15 days.

Also, I do not know whether Hibs fans have casual crew, if they do and if they are looking for trouble, for sure they will find it here with our Armada ultras.

    Hope I explained the situation.
