GB are guaranteed at least 4 medals, Galal Yafai, Pat McCormack and Lauren price have a real chance of getting a gold, the others have a decent outside chance as well

I've really liked the look of Whittaker too
I actually know nothing about boxing. Apart from middleweights of the 1980s it would be a car crash of a mastermind specialist subject for me.

Dina Asher Smith in big trouble in the 100m. Think she will struggle to make the final with that time. 200m is her event but she would expect to make the final of the 100.

She's been injured recently and it's showing.
    She's out.

That Italian Sprinter Jacobs is an absolute unit of a man, never seen him before, it kinda defies logic that a dude built like him can run so fast

    That's ridiculous.
I see Djokovic then pulled out of his bronze medal mixed doubles match citing an 'injury'. Hard to believe that's not just pure petulance. Classic selfish behaviour from him and disrespectful to his doubles partner to deny her the chance of an Olympic medal.

And pulled out fo the 200m as well.

Awful for her as she had a real shot at that one.

Delighted to see Jemma Reekie along with Hodgkinson and Bell making it to the women’s 800m final. I love the explosive power and theatre of the sprints but the middle distance events are the ones I really look forward to. Reekie certainly doesn’t lack ambition, how good would it be to see her get on the podium?

I think Reekie has an outside chance of a medal in the 800m. Looking forward to Laura Muir going in the 1500m and I'm sure Callum Hawkins will give a good showing in the marathon as well, with the quality of the field a medal might just be out of reach for him though.

You need to let it load, should go to it after a couple of seconds.

    Here's another one though.

Well done Duncan Scott, that’s incredible. I had assumed some of the cyclists had already won 4 medals in a single games. It could be a long time before that is matched.

Charlotte Worthington was absolutely incredible. I know nothing about the intricacies of BMX but coming back from her first run to do what she did is easy to appreciate. Yet another memorable moment from what has been a pretty good games.

Also underlines the rank hypocrisy of Djokovic's holier-than-thou sermon to Simone Biles that pressure is a privilege and that she needs to learn to deal with it. Next day he goes out and reacts to pressure by behaving like a childish brat.

Listening to woman's fitbaw on radio. Midway through the second half male commentator pitches in with England, quickly followed by GB 🙄
It's one of the reason's I'm ABUK at sporting events and I'm not one ounce ashamed by my pettiness

At least having an Argentina fiancée and living in Argentina gave me a reason to fist pump the air when Argentina dumped Team GB out in the Rugby Sevens.

The Venezuelan triple jumper Rojas is an absolute machine. She is streets ahead of the competition. Smashed the Olympic record already and just went beyond the WR albeit it was foul. I can see that record going today. She's sensational to watch.

That defied gravity, the step was so short. Loved watching her.

Brilliant stuff now from the Italians, high jump and 100m golds.

She was unbelievable, the breakdown of her world record jump was unreal, she looked like she had almost given up on it at one point.

Thought it was really nice to see the 2 high jumpers, mates by all accounts, agreeing to share gold immediately rather than go through a jump off (after over 2 hours of competition where they couldn’t be separated), such a classy way to end a thrilling contest

Australian cyclist in team pursuit took a heavy fall as his handlebars snapped, a rare occurrence and one hell of a shock for him.

Is that allowed? I'm assuming it is since it happened but I know in the running events you aren't allowed to hold hands or similar when crossing the line as it creates a 'contrived tie'. There were 2 British triathletes disqualified from an event last year for doing exactly that.

First drug test failure in the women’s 100 meter field. Why do they do it.
She was one of the stars of the 2014 Commonwealth games. I think I saw her win the 100m at Hampden. It took two weeks to turn around her test, which seems long to me.

The women’s weightlifting was tremendous, watching them psyching themselves up before lifting was superb. Well done the British woman for getting a silver medal.

Was watching it live, commentators were very surprised that the handlebars completely sheared off on a bike made out of carbon fibre, and that it didn't snap right at the start during the moment of greatest torque on the bars.

Seeing Emily Campbell win Silver, the first ever medal by a British Woman in the sport of weightlifting was awesome, utterly delighted for her.
