Statement by Budge which I'm sure clears up all questions. 🤔

    https://www.heartsfc.co.uk/news/arti...apacity-update

A Jambo currently on Superscoreboard squealing about number of tickets allowed. Wrongly claimed we had over 6k v Santa Coloma. Not like a Jambo to fudge the figures.
So Budge has finally come clean on the Tinycastle capacity.

By her own admission only 6047 seats equals one third of their seating as they can only use one in three of their seats.

So officially the Rust Bucket Arena only has 18,141 ultra narrow seating capacity. Not quite the 20k promised

More importantly I wish someone would show her how to spell “METRE” correctly.

Does that figure perhaps exclude the directors 'box' and 'media centre' section of the the as yet unfinished main stand seats?

For Covid certification reasons they've also had to exclude the police box seats and also the bogs and the wee seats the turnstile guys use so that clearly must bring the total down

    Restricted numbers

St Mirren only allowed 1039 for Hearts league game at home
Edit just some random fan speculating that was what they were allowed for Patrick Thistle game

Barry Anderson was on Twitter the other day insisting that their capacity is 20100, strange they’ve never managed to fill the stadium since the new stand was built then. 😂

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Part of the reason is that some of the fans take up the space of 2 seats 😉

Does the figure also include the ‘Premium’ seats from which you cannot see the pitch?

Our group got tickets today for the Scotland games at Hampden in September, October and November and there are no gaps between the seats.

I wonder if they've been tipped off about the future plans or if they have just assumed that the 9th August plans will be going ahead?

Some journalist he is if he's still quoting that number.

Sure it said they were treating it as normal and if that’s not the case refunds will be made and alternative arrangements made.

How many fans are we likely to be allowed for the game next Thursday then?

    9,000 realistic?

Think it includes some folks who live in flats nearby. Obviously had to deduct the ones who live in the flats with the big crack in them following the stadium renovation. When will the 5 star hotel be ready?

Given how close it is to the 9th August you would think so but I can see it being something like 6,500.
I higher number like 7,500 would probably give access to all ST holders who want to go so I am hoping for that sort of figure. Surely the use of all 4 stands this time would accomodate those numbers at the previous density.

Covid positivity test levels have fallen under 5% for the last 2 days. A continuation of that should also help increase the numbers allowable from last Thursday.

Probably not but fingers crossed anyway.

I’m going to go for somewhere between 6.5k - 7.5k.

Based on the demand so far, I think the upper number would maybe about do us. Or there certainly wouldn’t be a mad scramble.

If we reduced the space between rows and seats as Hearts do, Hibs could have over 22,000 or so in. Please tell Ron though

I would agree, based on the percentage we have been given for 2 stands I would guess at 7600 for 4 stands

I wonder when the council will bother their arse to confirm Thursday's capacity. It's just over 72 hours to go and I still don't know if I'm going to the game yet.

I think it’s absolute BS that the council can’t / won’t / seem determined to fanny about over confirming the numbers.

Exactly, that has now passed. I really hope we get the go ahead for full crowds tomorrow from the Government. Having to deal with Edinburgh council messing us about is getting annoying and this is only 3 games in.

Motherwell were able to give us an allocation to sell for yesterday last Monday and we don’t even know how many fans we can get for a game that’s 3 days away now. Not to mention the game on Sunday. It’s pathetic

I think it's an unlikely that that'll ever be the cap, given that the number of ST holders is a wee bit over 10k. It would be a bit upsetting to have a ballot to exclude a small minority of fans.

  28. #357
I hope we'll be using all the stands to fit as many as possible in.

When do we find out who has been successful for tickets ?

I think if we were allowed 9000 that would enable every season ticket holder who wants to go to the game to get a ticket. A lot of people will still be on holiday then plus not every STH is keen to attend quite just yet even although they've bought their ST's
