    Argentina 1 Brazil 0 (30 mins in)

Mrs asked before going to bed "are the winners of this match playing England in the final tomorrow?" banging head against the wall as I type.

Not great mate. Lots of talent on the pitch but non stop niggly fouls and players rolling over for the fun of it. We've debated Immobile, Kane and Sterling etc in the Euros but they are strictly division two compared to these guys in the play acting stakes. Still an interesting game but could have been so much more. Good to see and hear 7000 fans in the stadium.

Congratulations Argentina, first title since 1993.

Far from a classic, worth staying up till 3 am for? Not really, a bit of a shocker to be honest.

Delighted for Messi. A major international honour was the only thing missing from his locker. The very greatest of all time.

Neymar tears are glorious. Just glorious.

Don’t think a game like that would be allowed to go the way it did without a South American ref. Think Argentina could do well next year

I'm just heading out to celebrate here in Buenos Aires

France won the World Cup when I lived in France, Argentina pick up the Copa America when I'm here, maybe I need to head back to Scotland
