Given that they're (in theory) only allowed to hold the ball for a limited time, flopping to the ground with it shouldn't allow them to waste any more time than standing up with it.

Interesting: in the hypothetical scenario where the ref actually bothers about the six-second rule, when do the six seconds start from?

In cases where the keeper has genuinely ended up on the deck holding the ball, it would seem harsh to start counting before he's even on his feet.

Of course in reality to be pulled up on that rule you have to absolutely take the piss.

When the nets aren't pegged down properly at the back, rather they are weakly held down by a lightweight frame of metal that lifts off the ground after a goal. Man City have had these for years, see it when a penalty goes in raising the bottom of the net at the same time.

This infuriates me so much I think it may be slightly unhealthy.
