Czech Republic and Croatia having to play two teams at their home stadium probably equally unfair but that’s just the way it is I suppose.
If England win the group, do they not play all their games at Wembley in the knock out stages
Think Germany, Denmark, Netherlands and Spain also play all their group matches at home

We probably want England to win every game (other than us) and Croatia and Czech to draw. With that in mind, not a bad result today.
I agree totally … so far so good.

Think he wanted a foul but there wasn't one there.

Very nice of UEFA to give England an extra days rest over Scotland, and no travel involved either
Yes not fair at all especially with England being first game today and Scotland a full day after. As you say no travelling either.

Since England produced their training academy they believe they are at the forefront of everything, they invented the high press and playing from the back ( Barcelona were doing it decades ago ) they have great youngsters but nobody else has? Same old script.

None of the Quarter-Finals are played at Wembley. They would play that round in Rome if they win the group and qualify further.

Pandev the goalscorer looks like he smokes 50 a day and has a tough paper round 😁

What a shame. Hope he pulls through and gets back to good health.

Shows how fragile life is. All the best to Christian and his family.

Are there any rules in place which state that he won’t be able to play again? Or is it likely he will be recommended to retire on medical grounds.

"The examinations that have been done so far look fine. We don't have an explanation to why it happened."

Hopefully they can get to the bottom of it. I’m no medical expert so not sure whether it’s common or not to find no explanation in these situations.

I was under the impression Daniel Stendal invented the “high press” - Every days a school day.

I still cringe at how many posters on here thought Stendel's high press was some sort of revolutionary strategy which was insurmountable, only for St Mirren to beat them and send them down..

As we now know his high press was the top cupboard in the hallway in his flat, probably where he kept his football tactics books but couldn't reach them...

Eriksen would be mad to play again. Just isn't worth it

Na, the quarters are not at Wembley, but every other game could be.

I don't see how he can be forced into never playing again, he surely has to make that decision for himself.

It got lost in translation, Desperate Dan actually had his own cider press and as we know from his interviews he was often high on his product.

What was up with the guy who scored Austria’s third? He was angry and mouthy for no apparent reason.

    I’d imagine it’s a case of where there’s a will there’s a way.

Keeping in mind though that players are insured and that he’ll suddenly become a lot more costly to do that with, I’m not sure there will be a will.

If I was him I’d be calling it a day today. He’s made his money. No point putting himself and his family who were clearly distraught through that worry every week.

Nothing like equally unfair, in my humble-all your games at home - they are already in the press and on the media as gonna win it I just love them, the arrogant ****ers that they are, referee and linesman was on their side when they last played all the games at home and looking like nothing has changed watching that shower today.
