I take great comfort in the winner of our group playing the runner up in France's group, it could well be England only play an extra game than us
I'd fancy England to beat Germany, Portugal I think is 5050 and France would beat them.

    English getting the decisions
Yep, Croatia should have had 3 fouls that haven't been given in 18 mins

I don't think there good enough defensively to beat any of the 'bigger' nations

I honestly think the only way to beat England is to take the game to them. They have so much attacking threat if you sit back they are going to break you down.

That's why I can't see Scotland getting anything against them. We don't have the players to dictate the game and take it too them.

France and Belgium do have that ability and will likely beat England if they play them IMO.
We have the players to match England in the middle of the park, no problem IMO. The difference is the players they have to pass the ball to in the final third. If we open right up against them they’d kill us on the break IMO.

I'm not sure if Croatia have just been really bad here or if England are actually playing very well. Bit of both maybe. Croatia just look so disorganised, loads of players pointing and shouting about where their team mates are supposed to be not matching where they actually are always suggests you are getting a bit of a chasing.

It's obviously an impressive stadium but Wembley just seems completely souless to me. Not a patch on the old Wembley or the Millennium stadium for example.

Can't think of any games I've watched and thought the atmosphere has been brilliant at it.

Yeah it’s a corporate stadium like most in England tbh. Poor atmospheres in the EPL too.

The English playoffs always have great atmosphere.

You could be right with that one.

Overall, I dunno, it just doesn't seem to have that wow factor for me.

Rush of blood rather than composure from Croatia there.

Just said the same. Couple of clear fouls not given.

England are struggling here. Midfield are missing, and they're just getting pushed wide every time. Kane not involved

expectancy i always put it down too, best atmospheres down there is with the smaller teams chasing the dream, bigger teams fans are just turning up to watch another win, the reason why Celtic Park is a morgue for the majority of a season but turns into the 'best atmosphere in the world' on a champs league night

Just said the same, I hadn’t realised how good that midfield is with Kovacic Modric and Perisic…on paper that’s one of the best in world football.

I don’t see a lot to fear in all honesty. Both sides look beatable to me.

Agree about the new Wembley. The old Wembley was an absolute toilet though

Croatia are a very clever, experienced team. I think they've looked totally in control after the first 10.

I went to see Tottenham v Man City in April ‘18. Boring stadium, boring experience. EPL games are crap to go to.

It's because it's hot that England have been as flat as a pancake since the first 10 minutes according to Jenas.

I don’t disagree, but they also look pretty vulnerable at the back.
