Boyle and Irvine team up in Oz win.

Australia beat Kuwait 3-0 in Kuwait City earlier today In a WC qualifier.

Boyle, playing on the left wing, supplied the cross for the first goal in 55 seconds.

He also had a penalty saved, but Irvine completed the ‘made in Edinburgh’ act to score from the rebound.

Both played well, in a game played in extremely hot conditions, although Boyler should really have scored himself when he put a 1 on 1 wide.

Both players lasted the full 90 minutes, despite the Oz manager using his 5 subs.

I know it’s only Kuwait, but you can only beat the opposition put up against you.

I noticed the lad Kenny Dougall, who scored twice for Blackpool in their playoff final, made his Oz debut last night too.

Not seen or heard of him other than in the last week, but wonder if he's a player we'd be looking at.

Surprised Maclaren doesn’t start for them. He’s scored a ridiculous amount of goals since leaving us.

Ryan McGowan also still starts for them which I found strange.

With Blackpool going up to the championship I doubt it he’d be in our price range now

Two 'Stralians is enough for me ta. It's not just their absence during Int windows but the fatigue it contributes to when they have long travel and time zone changes there and back. Knackering. Injury risk too, and I don't mean just playing/training at Int level. The more fatigued you are then the more likely you are to get injured. Nothing against us signing lower level Internationalists, but closer to home please now that we have two playing for Oz.

In a few weeks we could have zero playing for them. Not turning down quality based on a few long flights
