For me it was a toss up between Paul Hanlon, Christian Doidge and Martin Boyle. Glad Boyler won it as he provides a lot of entertaining football but it was a close call between the trio mentioned imo.

Not paid much attention to awards in the past , was that always a category ?
Who normally voted for it ?
Probably just trying to feel like they are giving something to the fans.
