A dyed in the wool Jambo who happens to be Ross's pal. Inspired timing and choice.

Fox being hired was news last week… so the timing isn’t at all bad.

He left Livi as the No. 2 so not the worst addition to the back room staff.

That’s the most random and surprising bit of trivia, I’ve heard for a long time.

Fair enough, but, the last time we had a Hearts stalwart in our coaching staff, “I’ve been places, Brown,” we didn’t fare too well.

Did someone not post on here last week that he fell out quite badly with Hearts/Neilson when he was there? I may be remembering wrong right enough.

Aye, helps if you’re a pal of the manager too though.

Fox out. Don’t want him at Hibs.

Was in my class at School and played with him in the footy team, He's a nice guy, football has always been his life, so he has plenty experience, hope it works out for him.

He had a spell as Manager with Cowdenbeath, cannae mind how it went though.

    Care to explain why?

    Is he a terrible coach?

I don’t know anything about Fox but there does seem to be a pattern developing regarding JR and employing his pals

Makes sense to employ people he trusts.

I genuinely don't think I could name a manager that doesn't hire staff they know/have previously worked or played with.

    Lol, this thread

A manager employing someone he apparently knows

    What is Ron Gordon doing?

He should be employing Derek Adams into the staff with immediate effect

True, but surely Stephen Mcginn is an example of it not always working

Depends - what did he do behind the scenes? Maybe that worked?

And even if it didn't, so what?

Never employee any one he knows again?

    Bring back Derek Adams?

Couldn’t have worked that well if we let him go?

McGinn wanted to play more. Ross reluctantly let him go on loan.
