I think Italy have been the best team so far but I don’t think they’ll win in. Teams that peak in the group stages rarely do. If England can get passed Germany they’ll stand a great chance as the draw opens right up for them.

Not really any idea who the best player has been so far. I’m always impressed with Lukaku whenever i see him play but not sure he’s go down as the best player in the tournament so far.

Spinazolla has been the best player in the tournament for me.

I was actually wondering about the best Italy player.

I’ve enjoyed watching them but I’m not really up to speed with foreign players now. They didn’t seem to have one star man in the games ive watched?

I love Chiellini, never seen him have a bad game but he’s only played one and a bit games I think so far.

Wouldn’t mind seeing any of the remaining sides win it, with the obvious exception.

Denmark could be a wee dark horse for a semi final appearance.

I backed Italy to win it outright before the tournament started and happy to stick with them.

I fancy Belgium or Portugal to beat them next round.

Best player, I haven't probably seen enough, Chiesa has looked good for Italy, still fancy France to win the tournament, Belgium v Portugal should be a cracker.

Got Belgium in a sweepstake and a tenner on England at 6/1. Either will do me.

Funnily enough so do the bookies, I personally think Belgium is a cracking bet at 7/1, they were pre tournament favs.

Such a difficult route to the final though. Even if they get there that’ll take its toll. I think that’s reflected in the odds

England have got a great chance IMO.

They’re not conceding goals, have a great route to the final and now Kane has got one I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go on a bit of a scoring run. Denmark in the semis won’t be an easy game if they both get there but I’d still fancy England to beat them.

Do they? I'm not sure they do.

Pickford, maguire, mings, shaw, Phillips, rice would struggle to get in to a lot of the other teams.

If you made a combined xi with Italy or Belgium, I personally wouldn't have too many England players and that's a testament to the work Southgate has fone getting them organised and playing for each other.

Southgate is our best hope of England not winning this.

    Why?

He’s the best manager England have had since Venables.

Totally the opposite, Southgate is the best chance England have had in my lifetime.

If they can put out their best 11, Belgium would still be favourites I think. Italy look good, Denmark are on a mission and England are very solid. It's pretty open, tbh.

I think Southgate is a decent manager. It would be easy to chuck in all the great attacking options England have but he has been much more pragmatic than that. Zero goals conceded and the only team they've not beaten is us, and let's be honest that is our world cup final! I think they have a very good chance of winning

Also, 60k England fans at Wembley. Don’t play that advantage down.

While I’m feeling like a Rant, how come Wembley gets BOTH semi finals as well?

Why did England play us at Wembley and not Hampden?

Why did the winners of the group with England in it get Wembley for their next game.

All smells a bit fishy to me.

The easy half of the draw there’s nothing can be done about that it quite literally is the luck of the draw, but moan tae F.

This couldn’t be any easier for them.
