Was it just me the font on the back of our strip for the players names and numbers was different compared to normal?
Anyone know why?

Looked like Hibs custom lettering as the numbers had the badge at the bottom.
No idea why though.

Didn’t mind the lettering but the numbers look a bit too wide - the base of those 1s are a bit much!

Maybe it’s a change that brought us luck...hoping for the same in the final. Call me superstitious but I’m grabbing on to everything

Noticed it too.
Thought it looked amatuerish.
Should stick with SPFL typeface.

The font is truely dreadful – yet they've been plastering it all around the stadium, training centre and on merchandise for the last couple of years. Hopefully it doesn't make an appearance in the final, on what could be an iconic strip in future.

I used to be a bit of a font nazi back in the days when the Letraset catalogue merited the same attention as Marshall Ward's lingerie section.
Personally I wouldn't have picked the font that we're using, but the reasons why are set out below - and it could be worse (think HMFC's "Beano" memes at Tynie)

The bottom line is that Hibs are right to control every part of their corporate identity/imagery, so that everything produced is instantly recognisable as being "Hibs" before you've even read any of the text.

I thought it looked brilliant. Made our strip look even better. Something I thought wasn't possible.

I wondered if it had anything to do with accessibility and those with poorer eyesight?

Makes sense for the club to have their own branding guidelines and corporate identity.
Just think the font on the kit was a bit too thick - it could look really good.
