Missed a great chance last year against the poorest Hearts team in living memory and a declining Celtic

We will never get a better chance

Please don’t **** it up this time HIBS
We will get better chances. Lost to livi in 2004 and probably had that being said. 3 years later beat killie. 2015 lost to Falkirk with Inverness waiting in final. Won it a year later. 2021 lost to St Johnstone in the league Cup. 3 months later, in another winnable semi and potential final.

Hibs will win things. Hopefully this season but if not, the club doesn't fold.

This season isn't the poorest hearts team in my memory.

This is the poorest hearts team in hearts fans memory.

Most hearts fans I know think they’ve a good chance of going straight back down.

Just as a wee note of caution....

Statistically, we only win one out of every four finals we appear in, so we have to lose the next three before we're allowed to win one.

The team that went down before was worse.

Last season Hearts got relegated IIRC

No time like the present to start winning trophies

Does Jack Ross want to be remembered as the HIBS Manager that lost three consecutive Semi Finals ?

I would imagine Ron Gordon doesn’t do failure

    Time for heroes

Think we’ve lost 5 straight semi finals since 2016. Surely time to buck that trend on Saturday!

Motherwell last week 😂 what a performance that was, very convincing.

Like others, I don't trust Jack Ross to win a game that really matters.
How about the seventeen league games we’ve won this season, more than any other non OF team and only four less than Celtic? They all carry the same amount of points, do they not matter?

He won against Motherwell when it really mattered surely?
It was a draw followed by a penalty shootout. But, yes, we progressed.

TBH if that’s how we win the Cup I’ll take it.

But would be nice to dominate, get a couple of goals and continue to dominate for 90 minutes, in games that count.

I’m talking Saturday v Dundee Utd Please.

What big games has he won?

Dundee Utd is only the 2nd Prem side he will have faced in 16 Cup ties.
So he's not had much chance to win against BIG teams in the cup then?

Sorry but I just don’t trust Jack Ross to win two games on the bounce at Hampden Park especially if the second game is against battle hardened St Johnstone in the Final who have our number

I’ve seen this film before and I didn’t like the ending

    I hope I am wrong
St Mirren have already beaten St Johnstone this season. No reason to believe they can’t again.

I think the point is avoiding the OF in two cup runs in the same season is unheard of.

We should be taking these chances. They won’t come often.

True, but it also means that there are non-OF teams in good cup form, therefore these chances aren't necessarily in any way easy.

Brings joy to your heart to see some Hibs fans seemingly poised over their keyboards licking their lips in anticipation at the chance to get fired into the team/club/manager before the semi has even kicked off.

I think for a team in transition we’re somehow doing not too bad. There have been some woeful performances but nowhere near as many as in most previous years.

This ‘Jack Ross is terrible in big games’ is just an absolute bore.

Ron Gordon should've bought another club then. Hibs aren't some trophy winning powerhouse.

I read something that St Mirren weren't getting a Uefa license so would that mean if we got to the final against them we would be guaranteed group stages in Europe with a third place finish. Obviously winning the cup would be a better way to get it

I’m fully confident we will beat Dundee Utd and what ever other lower league team gets into the Scottish Cup final. We will also see off a poor Aberdeen side to cement 3rd place. Who would have thought the end to the season would be so simple to get glory. 🤥😊
These are just cheap bravado words. How can you be confident we would beat St Johnstone if we met in the final.
Our record at Pittodrie has not been great the last 2-3 years.
