Scored 2 free kicks for Dunfermline v Killie, in the League Cup last season at Rugby Park
Also looks like a free transfer too

Thought at the time his long contract was a bit strange, he was a decent prospect but never really showed anything outstanding, another youngster who never pushed on to that next level unlike Porteous and Doig. Good luck to the lad and Killie will be a good move for him, surprised it's a free though.

I have a feeling. we might be waiting to see who becomes available on loan from the English Premiership, btw I have no problem with this if we manage to bring in someone who we otherwise wouldn't be able to afford in the market, who improves the team.

Wouldn't read too much into him being in Edinburgh, he is more than likely visiting family who reside in the Broxburn area.
Family there but he owns a flat in Livingston.

Good luck to Fraser. Always liked him but never just had enough to get to the top level.

The Hibs statement on the transfer heavily suggests there is some form of buy back option or a sell on percentage involved in the deal

I too wish him good luck. At this moment he might have ‘Vardy type improvement’ written on him?

  13. #2682
Don’t think he was ever going to be good enough to become a regular for us. Wish him all the best though.

While we have Martin Boyle who just gets better and better what a bit of business that swap deal was.

No development fee or sell on then??

Hibs have retained an interest so will be a sell on or buy back type deal I’d imagine now likely a sell on as not sure how common the latter actually is

Maybe because it was a big standard easy 50 yd shot at goal 😁. Sorry Callim, couldn't resist it.

Is the link up with Brighton going to create any opportunities and save us money on transfer fees?

I’d be surprised to see much come of it tbh. It seems like these things very rarely have any benefit on the transfer front.

We might get a couple of loan signings out of it but my reading of it was that it was far more of a strategic, learning partnership.

Great move for Fraser. Can get on with his playing career now after winning a move to a good club based on his performances and ability. Will find his level in the next 2 years.
A year in the Championship then back to the top league. Looking forward to seeing how he does.

Showing his class, which Hibs have retweeted, thanking for his 14 years with us
I’m sure he’ll do well at Killie

    I think he will Billy.
He knows Kilmarnock want him for their first team and that removes previous uncertainty.
Will still have to strive to improve but will do it as an integral part of a first team squad.
I don't think people appreciate just how hard it is for young players to make a full time living out of the game.
He and we will find out over the next 2 years whether he is destined be a top 6 or bottom 6 player.

Wish Fraser Murray well for his future.
Totally agree with you about how hard it is for young players to progress in the game.
Hibs youth development has not been productive over and beyond the last decade in that the last player they good gelt for was Steven Fletcher and that was some time ago.
The rumoured offers for Ryan Porteous seem to be around the million mark and would think that Hibs should be looking for a bit more for a player they’ve developed over quite a long period.

Apparently, LG in talks with new manager with staying at Celtic his preferred option (BBC Sports - gossip). Not exactly a surprise/scoop.

The only development there is that he has actually started talks.

Fraser lost a year of football with a long term groin injury, when Lennon wanted to play him.
Unfortunately Hecky then came in and didn’t play many, or any of the young lads
We’ve got a promising under 18 group, so it makes sense for the likes of Fraser etc to move on, gives the younger ones an opportunity

That’s good to hear. I really hope we give these younger players a chance
