Villa and England have incredible young players coming through in next few years.

Villa just won the FA Youth cup and several of those players look the possibly next Grealish.
Yeah they have a lot of talent coming through at the moment

As soon as there's anything Hibs related, I'm sure the thread will shift back on track.

    Did he didn't realise that.
Yep, think they were all friendly games so he was allowed to switch.

Away to join the friendly leagues before he's found out.

That seems an unnecessarily angry comment. His potential at Dundee Utd and performances in portugal would suggest he is not someone who should be found out. I hope he does well.

Would prefer him to have stretched himself beyond the MLS though.

So in other words you don't watch him? Didn't see him win player of the year last season? He's a terrific midfielder that's going to the US probably due to the money. He's been outstanding for Faranese

As a long time Villa follower I’ll have watched Grealish a lot more and for a lot longer than most on here i would imagine. Bias to one side, he’s absolutely worth the money being spoken about(relative to today’s market). He’s absolutely class, drags Villa along most weeks in a similar way to what SJM did for us(Villa’s results when he was out injured last season is a good gauge of his importance) and is a match winner.
Not starting for England when they had their best squad in decades doesn’t mean he’s not worth the money, similar to Foden not playing much despite being one of the best players in the league last season.

Exactly what im trying to explain, however it seems his reputation gets in the way and a lot of people just assume he's not up to scratch due to the price tag.

I reckon Pep is a better judge of footballers than anyone on here ..so if he fancies him, then he is clearly top notch ….

Anyone who has lived in Vancouver would tell you why he has moved to one of the most beautiful City's in the world and he is gonna get well paid for it, why the **** would he not want to go.

Mueller has come to test himself. Gauld is 25 and has had one successful full season of top flight mens football.

And I say successful, he didn't save his team from relegation. He may have posted some good stats for himself, but he didn't drag the team to the next level with him.

If Gauld thought he would be successful at a bigger European club, he would have signed for one.

Really, that's showing zero ambition whatsoever, gone and never to be heard of again until he comes back and ends up lower half of SPFL, maybe nice lifestyle but he's only 25 and never actually tested himself.

Never tested himself? he left Dundee utd for sporting Lisbon, instead of coming back with his tail between his legs he moved to a smaller team in the Portuguese top league and won player of the year, its a short career he could come back here and watch the ball fly over his head for 3k a week or earn millions in a pretty special part of the world

I’d say going to Portugal at a young age is very much testing himself. He’s now going to another continent and lifestyle. I think he should be commended, and a positive example for Scottish youngsters. If he had simply taken the step up to the Old Firm he’d have been criticised for taking the easy option.

I get the going to Lisbon as a youngster was brave but he's played in their Div 2 the majority of it apart from his very brief spell here. I think he's a talented lad but feel he's never been anywhere near his potential and I'm surprised he's not gone to an English Championship team, or tested himself at a better level than Vancouver, just feel it's a waste of talent.

Tested himself much more than players that spend their whole career in Scotland. Different cultures different languages different styles of football. More Scottish players and people in general should do so.
