So why write a song about it?
A song in which money is mentioned over 50 times?
(I thought it was time we had a thread for pendantic observations.)

"New and improved".... EH?!
I remember challenging this as a schoolkid when my peer used it in a 'designing advert' lesson and genuinely believing he was making a mistake.
Turns out the whole world was and is at it.

If Goldilocks had mixed the porridge bowls that were too hot and too cold, she could have had lots of slow release energy from lots of the stuff, not needed a nap and been away long before the bears returned.

It should be "PI Number" instead of "PIN Number" but then everyone would use 3141.

"Up to 50% sale"
To keep that means the item is currently on sale at less than 50% of the original price and it's about to be increased.
Just say "up to 50% off" and I'll be happy.

The Oasis song “Roll it Over” starts with the line “I could give a hundred million reasons to build a barricade”.
I’m calling bull**** on that. I reckon they’d get to about ten before those reasons started getting really tenuous, unless they’re massive Trump-esque racists and the hundred million reasons were “Mexicans” etc.

In the song moonlight shadow there’s a line “4am in the morning”. Really Rips my knitting.

If a man could be two places at one time,
I'd be with you.
Tomorrow and today, beside you all the way.
That's the same place, at 2 different ****ing times, Kojak.

"But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walks a thousand miles
To fall down at your door."
Thanks for clearing that up! Like I needed a bl**dy calculator to work it out myself!

Speaking of money and niggling lyrics. It was always “I’d have all the money in the world, if I was a wealthy girl” that got me.
Not necessarily. But the other way round, sure - if you had all the money in the world then you would be a wealthy girl.

Amy MacDonald’s ‘This Is The Life’
“The people they were dancing to the music vibe”
Makes absolutely no sense. People dance to music, not a music vibe.
