The beeb wont just cover the funeral at funeral time. It'll be coverage all day building up to it. So it clashes with that. As a football fan that wouldn't bother me at all. I'd watch the game. They don't ask the fans though. They ask the relevant stakeholders - probably the sponsors and the broadcaster - and they make the decision.

DR are saying Rangers v Celtic at 12 noon on the Sunday
If they stick with Dons v Livvi at 2pm, we’ll be kicking off later in the afternoon/early evening on the Sunday
Wonder why they didn’t move us to late Saturday, although BBC will have wall to wall coverage of the funeral all day Saturday probably

BHA saying no horse racing will take place on Saturday between 2.45pm and 4.15pm. That seems a reasonable compromise to me and I presume they have announced that after some dialogue with the relevant "authorities". If football follows suit, then no reason why we couldn't KO 30mins earlier at 12Noon with the game on the BBC Scotland channel, leaving those who want to watch the build-up to the Chooky's laying to rest to do so on the main BBC channel.

League games all moved to a 12pm kick off on Saturday. Why not do the same with ours? Even with ET and Pens it would still be finished before 3pm.

No idea why it's taking so long to sort - England seem to have addressed all their league clashes and given teams a couple of options about what to do, whilst the BBC Scotland story on this hasn't been updated for two days

Can't do polite handshakes due to Covid. A simple nod and jolly well done will suffice.

I don't see why the Hibs match needs to be moved.

It has been reported the the Chelsea v Man City semi-final is going to be brought forward to 12:30 from its scheduled 17:30 slot.
