Think that would be an excellent appointment for them.

Not sure that’s a great appointment for them.

Always comes across so dull, I’m not sure he’s got the personality to deal with a club the size of Celtic.

Could argue that Rodgers has a similar personality but I think he’s got an aura about him, he had also been at Liverpool.

The fact he’s so different from Lennon could count in his favour though.

That would be a great appointment.

That would be a poor appointment.

    Meh.

That just about covers it so no need to read any further.

    You're welcome. 👍

Assuming Eddie Howe does take the job, does anyone else think that there could be role there for Marv?
His knowledge of Scottish Football would be a huge asset for Howe and there’s an obvious affinity between them.
Be a big decision for Marv if it were offered as I would assume it would be in a non playing capacity.

Whoever goes into that club needs to be able to transform it as it's unbalanced, full of players not good enough for Celtic and are way behind Rangers.

Looking at what Howe did with Bournemouth, he's a million times a better option than Keane who would be Lennon Pt. 2

On paper I don't their squad is far behind rangers, Gerrard is just a far better manager then Lennon, who had also clearly lost the dressing room this season.

Neither of their squads have changed much since last season, when Celtic finished a good bit ahead of the huns.

Players like Édouard or ajer probably being away will definitely change that though.

I’ve yet to hear anybody apart from fans saying any player or manager would be a terrible appointment

Discussed on Sportsound earlier, apparently a done deal a while back. Desmond a big fan of his.

Bringing his brother in as assistant or something.

Let's be honest anyone they get is going to be an upgrade on Lennon.

  21. #21
Think he’s a decent guy and will be a good coach. So in that sense didn’t really want him getting it.

The few quid I had on him when he was apparently in the frame for it months ago would soften that though!

Being underdogs every week with Bournemouth to having to win every week at Celtic is some difference. Absolutely no idea if it's a good appointment or not.

Bournemouth weren't a plucky underdog. They spent silly money, mostly on rubbish to be fair. 80 million in 18/19 and 50 million in 19/20.

He is a decent manager tbh, he'll probably do well but its a very different job from what he is used to as you say.

He did very well with Bournemouth. He didn’t do very well in his brief stint at Burnley.

He’s obviously a good, thoughtful coach but is that what Celtc need? Any appointment is a risk but this seems like a big one.

He's got all the charisma of Ian Cathro - though more management experience.(edit: but probably less coaching experience!).

I can't imagine ANY players being tempted to the weege on the back of his appointment.

I think he'll be lucky to make it to Christmas (if appointed).

Who gives a ****. They’ll always be our sloppy seconds, our illegitimate children, that member off the family we don’t talk about, that person that you’re embarrassed about when you trace your family tree, that dirty little secret you’ve never told your wife about, that laddie at school who never went to school camp because he was a bit different, that guy that was caught looking through the hole between the changing rooms at the Vicky baths, that guy that goes into the *****house to have a piss, the sort of people who have vinegar instead of sauce. We are hibs, **** Celtic and whoever their manager is.

    United we stand here....

A chippy is no a chippy if it does not have loads of broon sauce on it. You definitely must be from the West. 😁
