Last time I saw Budgie he was Oman’s goalkeeping coach when they played Oz.

    Where is he now?

I think he's either still there or thereabouts. Great to see him up and about in any case.

The hospital paperwork he posted on Twitter from his test result was from a hospital in Oman so I'm assuming he must live there.

Absolutely unique character. What a man. Must have had his teammates in stitches. He put a video of himself dancing on Twitter do obviously on the mend.

Given that he played a prominent role in a Hibs trophy winning side - absolutely!

I remember encountering him in an almost deserted Waverley Station one evening and he'd got off a train from the south. He was struggling with two huge bags and trying to get a taxi together.

"It's ok lad, I'll be all right! Oop the Hibees!" was the message!

Given the video he posted of himself dancing about in his house, he's hopefully on the mend.

Surprised he never tried to sell you a Lacoste polo shirt !!
Might explain the two huge bags.
Budgie "dabbled" back then in selling snide gear
    Great character, the Budgie.
