Goram at Man U? Or am I imagining that? Think it might have been a loan deal.
Yep, played twice for Man U and was subbed off both games so their injured 2nd choice keeper could get a league winners medal 😂

He was a terrific young striker. Wish we could have held on to him longer. Never the same after injury but still did well for Rangers when he moved back north.

John Collins had a spell at Everton IIRC.

Good shout, great wee player, seen him captain Leicester a few times when I lived there.

Nick Colgan played in a final for Barnsley.

Tony Caig kicked about the bench for Newcastle.

The most random has to be Shelton Martiis in the EPL under Mowbray at West Brom. It’s as believable as Derek Townsley turning up on love island.

Here's 2 teams of Hibs players who played at the top level in England. All post war, all UK, all went directly from Hibs to England, with exception of the great Joe & Lawrie L. Great majority (17) are internationalists & at least 4 won European trophies in England. Not sure our lesser neebors can match this. 4 2 4

    Tommy Younger/Lawrie Leslie

    Brownlie/Bremner
    Blackley/Plenderleith
    McNamee/Parke
    Murphy/B Smith

    Johnstone/Gibson
    Cropley/McGinn

    MacLeod/Scott
    Baker/Martin
    Cormack/Fletcher
    Harper/Durie

Sub, Marinello, who inspired the thread!!

John McNamee and Jim Scott in Newcastle’s Fairs Cup winning squad.Scott played in both legs of the final.
Your post got me thinking about the player links between Hibs and Newcastle.

The following players collectively made 2258 appearances for Hibs between them and scored 299 goals in the process. They all also played for Newcastle at some point with 999 appearances and 74 goals between them.

    Ronnie Simpson

    John Brownlie
    John McNamee
    John Blackley
    Gary Caldwell

    Ralph Callaghan
    Darren Jackson
    Tommy Craig
    Michael O'Neil

    John Connolly
    Jim Scott

What other teams could you make a Hibs 11 out of ... Villa possibly?

Jim actually scored in the final. Bobby Moncur, who latterly managed Hearts, scored 3 over the 2 legs.

There is also Harry Hibbs didn't play for us but has a superb name. So Hibbs have played in the FA Cup final.
