It was a good show to record, really interesting and nice thinking back to the Hibs teams that I grew up with.
Hoping the YouTube video is up and running soon.Follow the Hibs podcast, Longbangers, on Twitter (@longbangers)

It was an interesting point about Doidge that John (I think?) made. He’s not been as prolific as last year (looks from soccer base that he’s got 7 goals) but his all round play and contribution can be a bit overlooked. Everytime I watch us he’s on the ball a lot more than previously, maybe just because the balls being moved through the thirds a bit quicker.

That first half hour is an absolute nostalgia-fest for me. As yet another 43 year old that period in the 90s was the time in my life when my enthusiasm for Hibs at its most intense, in that almost all-encompassing way you get in your mid- to late-teens/early 20s. Clearly football is still more important than it probably should be, but its never quite the same once dull grown up ***** gets involved so the memories from back then are probably clearer than a lot of more recent seasons. Great stuff and I'm really looking forward to reading Ian's book.
Fair play to Jim Duffy as well. If I was him I'd probably want to forget all about that time.

Will definitely be ordering this book - looking forward to it (although dreading lots of it too, such were the 90s for hibs!)

I thought the same about Jim Duffy, would have been very easy for him to have just said "not interested" and left it at that. Will look forward to reading things from his perspective. I don't suppose anyone means to fail at a club, so will be good to read what went wrong.Follow the Hibs podcast, Longbangers, on Twitter (@longbangers)
