"Rangers Covid Party" was my favourite song by The Fall.

All the offending (offensive?) players are out of isolation and have been allowed straight back into training. Matter dealt with internally.
Farsical. Stan Laurel will be fuming that they have not been made an example of, esp with this being the second such breach by Sticky players after Jones and Edmundson (who got seven game bans). She will probably get asked what she is doing about it by Oliver Hardy at the next FM questions.

    Who is Stan Laurel?
There is no such thing as too much yarn, just not enough time.

No, it was on their 2016 Rangers Cup Final commemorative LP “ Are You Are Missing Winner”

I said this a few days ago. Gerard wanted to move on (and said so) and needless to say so have the Scottish media.

If it was us Tom English would be all over it.

    Not a peep.

I presume you didn’t turn your radio on for the week after it happened. I actually stopped listening to Sportsound & Superscoreboard as I was sick hearing about it.

Yeah, if this is about the previous event with the five Rangers players, I'm struggling to see how anybody could think it was covered up.

You can see why the club have let then right back into training etc now... Do it any later and they will taint their league win. They just make up the rules as they go along.

Rotten club to the very core.

Hopefully they get absolutely HAMMERED from the beaks at SFA. They have to.

    Being rangers?

I think tbf, they've not been as harsh on these 5 as they were on the other two.

Maybe that's because tavernier is injured and one of them is a right back, maybe it isn't.

These players were wrong. They deserve to be punished and have been. I would hope as well as a fine from the police there was a hefty fine internally too but that's between the club and the players

I do wonder if it was 4 young Hibs players if we'd have the same clamour to kick them out of the game, tar and feather them or if it is just because they play for a rival team?

I'm not sure the Scottish Government would have any real support, either from the public or legally, for shutting down the leagues or calling out the club/players when what happened went on without the club's knowledge and was dealt with by the letter of the law when it was discovered.

You mean like Celtic were HAMMERED? Or not. If they didn't punish Celtic, they're not going to punish Rangers.

I don't see how people can say this was covered up. It was all over the news.

I certainly think they got an easier time from the press than Celtic did. However I do think the club dealt with it far better than Celtic did (and it was a completely different set of circumstances). I'm sure there will be some punishment from the SFA but I also think they will take into account what Rangers have done (which we wont find out).

I actually think it might be an idea for The Rangers to announce what punishments they dished out to the players involved.

They don't have to go into full detail, but it might help clarify to the general public that they have taken this seriously and acted accordingly.

The punishment was a serious telling off from Slippy. I tremble at the thought.

Celtic took a whole squad away to a place where at the time made many envious and their behaviour was fully caught on camera and published.

Celtic fans were raging as they had just lost league / old firm game etc - Rangers fans were raging - everyone else was raging.

Here Rangers have a few players many haven’t heard of breaking the rules but will have deliberately tried to keep a lid on things as they don’t want to upset their perfect run they are having.

Celtic fans are / were pre occupied with the Lennon / board and while moaned are more bothered about the state of own club.

Other fans are annoyed with Rangers players but as we know the Old Firm drive Scottish football most of the time so not much was made of it.

Have we seen a statement from the SFA or the SPFL or the compliance officer or relentless bashing from Tom English?

Dealt with by Gerard. Nice. To think St Mirren and Kilmarnock were docked points (appreciate they won appeal) for the likes of players car sharing.

If it was us we would have been hounded.

The difference is they obviously wanted to bin Jones and Edmondson, but since Tavernier got injured they might need Patterson
