I use David Burns at Kingsfield for coaching . Good Hibby and try and see him up there at least once a year at the beginning of the season or when things have got horrendously bad. Anyhoo. He coaches Bob. He told me a few years ago Mcintyre was the real deal. His work ethic is second to none.

Matsuyama looking strong, though as we know, anything can happen on the back 9 on Sunday at August.

    Bit boring tbh.

Aye, Matsuyama just has to keep the heid. Can't see any drama happening now.

How often do you see players lose their bottle on the back 9 on Masters Sunday?! It got interesting for a bit there but think Hideki will see it home now.

Well done Bob McIntyre, invited back next year by finishing 12th. Great debut.

Got there in the end but made it tough for himself. Spieth and Leishman hung around at the back of the green to congratulate him, a touch of real class. Did anyone here have any money on him?

Nah. Usually bet him in the majors too. Had a look yesterday at the rain delay and he was around 10/1. Thought I’d hold off till the end of the day and he ended up 5/6. Lesson learned.

Chasing pack was disappointing today. Didn’t really land a glove on Hideki.

I really like the cut of his jib. His drive in at the start of the week was equally amusing.

Bobs cousin gets a full time contract with the cabbage. Marvelous.

    Check this absolute beauty out..

I played in my first medal yesterday and submitted my first card for the handicap. I've registered with the ClubV1 app, and howdidido but when I go to select my club it says I am not linked, I presume this will be the case until I've submitted my three cards and i'll then be linked?

Does anyone else's club use the Scottish Golf app for booking?

Turnhouse has recently moved to it and its causing chaos as its clearly not able to handle the traffic when lots of members log on to get a time.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, vodka in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, "WOO HOO what a ride!"

We use V1 Dave. No issues.
Another weekend and a couple of scores whilst not particularly great both will be in my 8 for averaging purposes and will see the handicap move slightly south.

Anybody used the top tracer bays at Melville golf range? If so, how did you feel your numbers stacked up?

Not used it but heard a few people say it is good.

Do you need to prebook or just turn up?

I booked it but that was bank holiday Monday. Not sure to be honest. It was very busy but there’s quite a few bays. I think the data is about 20- 30 yards out. My numbers were consistently that compared to the numbers I use on the course. Just wondering if others were the same or I just had a ropey unit.

I found that everything was showing slightly left, ball flight would always came off left even if going straight down the middle

That might be the aim point. I think you have to tell it where you’re aiming. Distance and direction. Certainly direction.

Melville is my go to driving range and to be honest it's gotten ridiculously busy over the last year or so to the point where people who just showed up would be queuing to get in so they had no option but to make it bookings only.
I'm not a fan of the TopTracer stuff personally, far from convinced its accurate and I usually just book one of the two remaining PowerTee bays.

https://www.edinburghindoorgolf.co.uk/ - uses trackman instead for those looking to get numbers

Anyone watching the live golf from Adeje Tenerife? The leader has taken 5 off the tee at my local course when i lived there.

In all the times i played that course, it never happened to me or anyone else i played with, Boltonhibs came close.

Great weekend for Peebles Golf Club’s rising star, Craig Howie, on the European Challenge Tour event in Sweden, winning by 7 strokes, for his first victory. He’s been threatening to win an event for some time and, now, the monkey’s off his back.

Great to see Ireland's Seamus Power doing well at the PGA Palmetto tournament and Scotland's David Drysdale in the European Tour Scandinavian Mixed Tournament. Not saying either of them will win but still really good to see them up there near the top of their respective leaderboards.
