    Kelty Hearts

Signed Joe Cardle yesterday and Jamie Barjonas today (not sure if loan or what).

Remember having a back and forth with a poster the other day after saying they’d be chucking money at trying to get up the leagues. Seems that’s already underway.

Both players probably a higher level than league 2.

Joe Cardle must be getting on a bit now, I feel like he's been around forever. Decent player at championship level for years. I think he'll do a decent job for them for a season

He runs an academy in Dunfermline now, and is really popular with parents of young & promising footballers in the area. Seems to be a good guy, I thought he would play at a higher level than he ever did.

Kelty have a great little ground
New seated stand on one side, and 2 bits of covered standing enclosure on the other
Not sure who’s funding them, but I hope they do well, regardless of their name

My next door neighbour plays for them, he’s a lovely guy so I’ve got a soft spot for Kelty while he’s there.

    Also already signed Jordon Foster.

Some cracking players, particularly at that level. Got to fancy them to stroll the league

Think Edinburgh city are changing their model for next season
A mixture of Full and Part time players, so think they can be a challenger
They narrowly lost out to Dumbarton in the play offs

High turnover in players this summer I think.

How do these teams work their mix of full time and part time?

Surely full time training can’t really be done with just 6 or 7 players?

Joe Cardle has got a thriving football academy, which my grandson goes to. It must have been worth his while to leave PT. Kelty are well bank rolled so the part time situation will suit folk like Cardle.
