Found a half full bottle of Vermouth at the back of the cupboard and it was very close to it's sell-by-date so we finished that at the weekend.
I didn't really enjoy it but it would have been a shame to let it go to waste.

Made myself a decent dry martini last night. One of my favourite cocktails (that, a negroni or a whisky sour make me a happy chap).

Tonight marks the end of my birthday week. Nice bottle of Toscana (from Italy) on the go. Very nice and much better than the bitter paraquat last night. Used to take an entire week to get over a defeat but as I get older takes a day and decent glass of something nice and I'm ready and looking forward to next week.

Just a couple of cans of fierce IPA I was given as samples, surprisingly good stuff.
