But I know what you mean, they are down on the coast, away from the other 3 in the big city, in their own great city, so they can see themselves as different, or better even, as Santos is a way nicer place than São Paulo city.

I haven't read all the way through this thread, so apologies if it's already been mentioned, but is there not also a magazine article from the 50s which was written, I think, by a Brazilian journalist and focuses on how impressed those at the tournament were by football played by Hibs (the Famous Five in particular)?
