Don't let that get in the way of a moan though.

A laptop guy with no leadership skills must be the most vague and silly attempted criticisms.
Which specific leadership skills is he lacking and how do you know he can use a laptop?

Mathie is well qualified for the job, but like anyone else in the playing side of the club his reputation ultimately is determined by what we see on the pitch on a Saturday.

It is important not to be over reactive after three consecutive losses.
What is concerning is the nature of the last two defeats. The title of this thread is appropriate and sums up our two most recent home performances.
There is a real danger of this getting out of hand and spiralling out of control. You only need to look over the road of how the Yams got into decline and it can take years to get out of it.
What is bothering me just now is Dempster’s decision to leave. Let’s face it she was at the root of what was good about Hibs over the last few years and with her leaving there is a risk of the club de-stabalizing.
Not sure what the answer is. In the short term a couple of good victories to get us back on track.
However, we will find out soon if Ross can turn this round. If, not it is over to Ron, not Dempster to make some big calls.

Yip agree, crazy to suggest his lack of Premier league experience means he shouldn't be in the role, but folk need a scapegoat after a defeat it appears, it's Mathies turn now by the poster

Anyone comparing Mathie to The Dalry Llama already lost the argument. Lazy throw away comment.

It’s the same old problem with us being too ‘nice’ as a club.
Gray and McGregors contract extensions were ridiculous, Mathie’s promotion just lacks any kind of imagination or foresight and sticking with past favourites like Hanlon and Stevenson isn’t doing anyone any favours.
I think LD going is a good thing and I’m pretty sure Ron saw the need to freshen and liven things up in the boardroom, hence the 4 new faces there.
Hopefully their strategy going forwards is more results driven and less about all the other stuff the club seems keen to be involved with.
Ron has stated many times that he wants us playing in Europe and in semi finals.
As long as JR hits these goals he’ll be safe. If it looks like we’ll miss out on 4th I think he could be in trouble.

Sorry, but it obviously wasn't, as is shown by other people's replies.
I'm not accusing him of anything, I just wondered why he used that particular word as it seemed a bit strange.
TBH, I still don't get it but it's no big deal.

It always makes me think about the spurs documentary.
The first thing Mourinho came in and done was told the players they were far too nice and he wanted them to be *****
He wanted them to be dirty, commit fouls etc. Maybe it’s time we started some of that. Play with a bit more passion

Hibs TV get the club's sporting director on to talk during 30 minutes before the match, then again at half time.
Nothing's good enough apparently.

Fair play to you for sticking with this thread also and discussing your original point. Having to explain your use of words and grammar to people after raising a valid point is one of the reasons I done come on here much anymore.

You hear it all the time...
”you want your goalie to command his area”
”you want your wingers running at the defence”
’you want your manager to show some emotion”
”you want your strikers to take their chances”
etc etc etc.

Things have really went on a downward spiral very quickly since Lexo rocked up for his Hibs TV gig. Hopefully whoever had that bright idea is already clearing their desk.

I don't think Keith is being awkward at all, and I've never heard anyone I chat to about football using the type of chat you describe, it's always our team or our club, our manager when we're talking about the cabbage.
*Last post from me as our game against Dundee is on the TV now ;-)

Thanks, I really wasn't.
I honestly just wasn't very quick on the uptake yesterday, and really didn't get it at the time.
