David Gray scored the most iconic goal in our history. He’s being compared to an Aberdeen random.

McNamara is away back to Millwall. Great wee player, would love a bud for him.
    Would take him absolutely

Yogi saying he hopes to keep hold of their striker Stewart. Think we bid for him last window or two if not both. If Ross likes him get him. For me I’d be offering 30k and Jamie gullan on loan until end of the season If we signed him on a pre-contract.

30k ? i'm sure we will show Ross co some respect if putting a bid in, i'm sure we paid a whack more than that for kevin nisbet, besides...i don't think the last player they paid good money to us for is not exactly setting the heather on fire at the moment.

Forward Ross Stewart has attracted interest from clubs, but "nobody has come close" to meeting Ross County's valuation, says Stuart Kettlewell.
Manager Kettlewell views the 23-year-old in same category as Lyndon Dykes and James Scott, who have moved to the English Championship recently for fees of £2m and £1.5m respectively.

He says the player and his agent are happy with his progress in Dingwall.
"For someone to change that, it'll cost them a pretty penny," Kettlewell said.

though i must admit to not even knowing who the heck james scott is

The boy isn't worth breaking the bank over, infact I don't even think he would be a guaranteed starter for us.

    He wouldn’t be.

The lack of respect some people give one of the biggest Hibernian legends ever sickens me. He might be coming to the end of his career but he deserves more respect than some on here give him.

He gave Tom James a really tough time at Fir Park not long before he left.

I think much of the criticism of Tom James comes from how much he struggled to get to grips with Scott that day. IIRC Motherwell swapped him over to the other wing, maybe even substituted him, and Tom James went from having a minging first half to a decent second one.

I actually hadn’t even heard of him before that - the next thing I knew he’d mauled us then left for Hull for a decent fee.

That sounds very impressive but the actual stats show that he scored a total of 4 league goals, 3 of them against St Mirren.

Mon now, I'd give Tom James a hard time and I'm fat and unfit and slow and rubbish at football.

    Two cracking goals here: https://youtu.be/pcrKNrD7QoA

    Another here https://youtu.be/BY3M99AKRis

He scored seven goals last season before leaving in January and as has been discussed he was brilliant against us also.

Who writes this stuff as news??

According to claims from football website The 72 (h/t*The Scotsman),*Bournemouth*have been touted to make a move for Hibernian midfielder Joe Newell when the market reopens in January. The 27-year-old’s contract at the Edinburg outfit expires next summer.

I wouldn't be surprised if Newell went back south.

I don’t think he’s what a club with Premiership aspirations would be looking for.

No idea who the 72 are but they think Bournemouth should sign Newell, Kabamba and Nicky Clarke

Neither would I. A championship team or aspirational league 1 side would probably see him earn considerably more than he does at Hibs.

They are a Championship club. He's a good Championship level player and would be relatively cheap.

150 games in 4 seasons at Rotherham suggests he's a decent Championship players who'll not be expecting silly money.

Whilst they are a Championship club they will be looking at players to take them back up. I don't think Newell fits that bracket. I wouldn't grudge him a move there mind you, it would probably be life changing money.
