If Hibs win I will be voting for you as Poster of the Year.

    And if they lose?

I do laugh when Hearts fans say they always beat us at Hampden. There has only ever been 2 games played at Hampden between the 2 clubs, it's not as if we play them there every year.

We could equally say we always beat Real Madrid at Easter Road.
    😁🤗

They are 90 minute prices. If they were to win tsshe tie you could back both teams and be guaranteed to win.
    That's why bookies love draws.
That's where they make their money.
I should know I used to be 1.🤑😁

I have in the past backed hearts at ridiculous odds against us, I'm sure I got 7/2 once when they beat us. I backed them because no way were they a 7/2 chance and the bookies had just got it wrong. I think they have the odds wrong here too, and will back us to win on Saturday.
If that was the same day Stevie G fell on his arse I backed them at a similar price (got double odds as it was my first bet with Skybet which was handy).

Remember the apparently more generous prices may well only be for win in 90 minutes?

Seem generous if they're either team to win outright.

Is anyone offering odds to win the tie?

Ah, one day the avalanche of pre-derby "we're gonna pump them 3 or 4 nil" predictions is going to come true. Only been twenty years.

I often wonder whether Hibs fans were so confident before the one time it actually happened (the 6-2).

    I can’t remember.

Would this be the same lot of bookies that thought the Killie v Hibs game was off on Saturday?

    Bet365
    FT

    17/10. Heartz
    8/5. Hibs

    to qualify both are 10/11

£30 on the cabbage @8/5 i'm looking for the early 2-0 payout :)

i would normally put the cash on heartz whatever the odds

To be hobest gambling and bookues are of little interest to me but my understanding is tght bookies odds are set based on the amount of money being wagered on a particular outcome by people using subjective reasoning as opposed to pure statistical modelling based on quaranteed outcones.

If there is a bias toward a particular base placing bets on an outcome predicated on their emotional attachment then it skews the favouritism in that particular direction whilst not necessarily reflecting the anticipated outcome.

To cut a long story short the puddle drinking window lickers have being sinking vast sums of their valueless maroon pounds in pursuit of a wished for outcome but in reality means Hibs are the true reasoned favourites.

The neutrals will be all over Hibs at those prices. Great price for the team 3rd in the premier taking on 3rd in the Championship.

The odds have only just been released today so they won't have been impacted by the amount of money Hearts (or Hibs) fans have placed.

We will be clearer favourites by kick off I imagine.

I think we have more players that can cause them problems than the other way round however for me the key difference is....

.....match fitness. We labored through games in the early matches like many teams did. It is only now that we are seeing faster, higher quality football score the top league and that is 12 games in. For Hearts they have had two league games and a few cup/practice type games. Halliday and the likes look miles off the pace.

If we do stuff them on Saturday then it will prove it’s been the fans’ fault all along

I can’t see how a championship team can be favourites against a premiership team especially one sitting third in the table and playing good football. Personally I think Hibs will win by 2 or 3 goals.

  26. #85
Schoolboy error but the closer the game gets the more I think we'll win by a couple

  27. #86
I’m on Hibs HT/FT at 7/2. Nice early goal followed by a pumping please.

Would you fancy St Mirren, Hamilton or Ross County against this Hearts team?

  29. #88
    Reading -1 on Friday night
    Hibs -1 on Saturday night

    32/1 the double.
