On recent form on paper you'd think we'd be nearer evens and them nearer 2/1. I have sometimes had a wee "compensation saver bet" on the opposition for Scotland games but even if them lot were 5/1 on Saturday I just couldn't. Don't want any maroon tinted winnings in my wallet.

Would this be the same lot of bookies that thought the Killie v Hibs game was off on Saturday?

Hearts very slight favourites with Hill's too - 13/8 and Hibs 17/10. It must be down to betting patterns as opposed to current form. Or do bookies take into account historical derby records (particularly at Hampden)?!

I think the game will finish 0-0 after 90 mins and extra time.
I hope we've been practising our penalty kicks

Odds to win the cup are more interesting:
Celtic 4/9
Hibs 5/1
Aberdeen 6/1
Hearts 9/1
That's Bet365

I think this is because as Hearts' name comes first some bookmakers erroneously think they are the "home" team.

Obviously you don’t know who’d be on the pitch if it got that far but would fancy most of them would be.

I make it Hibs (very) slight favourites on these odds.

Hibs should be favourites, but not by much. Hearts have a better than championship squad.Mon the Hibs.

Would be our first 6 in some variation of that order.
But it won't be going to penalties. We'll eek out a 1 or 2 goal win.

Hearts are 31/20 and Hibs 17/10 at bet365, so hearts favourites there too.

That's possible, but it would also mean the bookies paid no attention to each of last season's derbies being won by the away side, plus the fact Hibs are currently accumulating a lot more points away than at home.
Hibs being the 'away' team should actually work in our favour.

I have in the past backed hearts at ridiculous odds against us, I'm sure I got 7/2 once when they beat us. I backed them because no way were they a 7/2 chance and the bookies had just got it wrong. I think they have the odds wrong here too, and will back us to win on Saturday.

Some of them couldn't even count or apply their own rules properly.

Surprised by these odds albeit the bookies struggle with their prices for a lot of Scottish football, particularly the lower leagues.
I would imagine Hibs will be into around 7/5 by kick off and slight favourites at that point. 17/10 is way too big and does present opportunities for those interested in the handicap markets.
