Where? SkyBet has Hibs favourites and most bookies will be the same.

    Hearts slight favourites with Ladbrokes:

    Hearts 29/20
    Hibs 8/5
    Draw 2/1

What happens if it's a draw? Extra time and penalties or just penalties? Or a money spinning replay at Easter Road?

Usually, not surprised with Hearts being favourites but this one is baffling. Hearts have played 2 proper games in 7 months in a lower division, while JR has Hibs competing at there top end of the Premier. Cannot think of any other situation where this would be the case. Weird.

On recent form on paper you'd think we'd be nearer evens and them nearer 2/1. I have sometimes had a wee "compensation saver bet" on the opposition for Scotland games but even if them lot were 5/1 on Saturday I just couldn't. Don't want any maroon tinted winnings in my wallet.

Would this be the same lot of bookies that thought the Killie v Hibs game was off on Saturday?

I wouldn’t touch this game with a barge pole.

Hearts very slight favourites with Hill's too - 13/8 and Hibs 17/10. It must be down to betting patterns as opposed to current form. Or do bookies take into account historical derby records (particularly at Hampden)?!

I think the game will finish 0-0 after 90 mins and extra time.

I hope we've been practising our penalty kicks

I don't think that makes Hearts favourites.

    65/40 Hearts
    64/40 Hibs

Odds to win the cup are more interesting:

    Celtic 4/9
    Hibs 5/1
    Aberdeen 6/1
    Hearts 9/1

    That's Bet365

I think this is because as Hearts' name comes first some bookmakers erroneously think they are the "home" team.

I think low scoring draw. I generally don't bet on Hibs but if I was to I'd go 1-1. Penalties are impossible to predict imo as I barely know who would take 5 pens for us, let alone them.

If it ended up going as far as a shootout we’ve got Hanlon and Boyle who scored in a semi final shoot out before. I think Newell and Mallan scored in the shoot out down at Kilmarnock last season. Nisbet is obviously

Obviously you don’t know who’d be on the pitch if it got that far but would fancy most of them would be.

    That was my arithmetic too.
I make it Hibs (very) slight favourites on these odds.

I've no idea but I like the idea that a multi billion pound industry where the individual businesses make hundreds of millions in profit each year but haven't quite got to grips with the idea of neutral venues yet.

Hibs should be favourites, but not by much. Hearts have a better than championship squad.
    Mon the Hibs.

Nisbet, Doidge, Boyle, Hanlon, Mallan, Newell

Would be our first 6 in some variation of that order.

But it won't be going to penalties. We'll eek out a 1 or 2 goal win.

Lots of things this multi billion pound industry are hopeless at.

Hearts are 31/20 and Hibs 17/10 at bet365, so hearts favourites there too.

That's possible, but it would also mean the bookies paid no attention to each of last season's derbies being won by the away side, plus the fact Hibs are currently accumulating a lot more points away than at home.

Hibs being the 'away' team should actually work in our favour.

I have in the past backed hearts at ridiculous odds against us, I'm sure I got 7/2 once when they beat us. I backed them because no way were they a 7/2 chance and the bookies had just got it wrong. I think they have the odds wrong here too, and will back us to win on Saturday.

Quite a few have went bankrupt or been taken over because they thought it was easy.
Some of them couldn't even count or apply their own rules properly.

Surprised by these odds albeit the bookies struggle with their prices for a lot of Scottish football, particularly the lower leagues.

I would imagine Hibs will be into around 7/5 by kick off and slight favourites at that point. 17/10 is way too big and does present opportunities for those interested in the handicap markets.
