    0-13

That was the score in the Ajax game today. They were away to Venlo who I’m guessing will be looking for a new manager on Monday morning.

    United we stand here....

    Terry Butcher ‘s available.

Would be harsh to sack him if this is a one off. Southampton have recovered very well from the Leicester loss with the same manager

2020 will be like no other. Spurs putting 6 past ManU at OT, best team in the league Liverpool shipping 7 against Aston Villa, Hearts scoring 6 at home. These results are anomalous, freaks of football, all due to Covid and empty stadia. Going to many many freak results before this is all over.

I was at Hibs 8 Ayr United 1 in 1972 and also 9-2 v St Johnstone in 1976 (I still have to google it to make my Perth friends believe it.) but 13- 0 in a top flight game is really something.

    EZ

    Was at both these games.
Can also add a 9-0 against Peterhead in the League Cup - about 10 years ago?

Never seen Hibs score 10 or more though - unless you count a 5 a side tournament at Murrayfield Ice Rink 40+ years ago, when we knocked 10 past Hearts in the Semi Final.
Cannae even remember if we won the final!!

A regular occurrence when teams lose a man.

Was at the 9 v 2 game against St Johnstone and wasn`t there an 8 v 1 against Kilmarnock ? 9 against Rosenborg in Fairs / UEFA Cup . Lots of 7s ´Livi , St J . 01.01.73 , Besa etc . Strangely enough I don`t remember any big scores in friendlies against weaker opposition even when Tornadoes played full strength team against Highland League teams .
As for Murrayfield Ice Rink Derby rout ? Anyone remember that ? I went to tournament at Meadowbank a couple of times but don`t remember it being played at ice rink . A beam back for a cup match v Stenhousemuir was at ice rink I think . 5 a side tournament with Hibs , Hearts and a couple of other teams used to be part of Highland Show at Ingliston too .

I remember us beating Airdrie 11-2, would have been late 50’s, but I wasn’t there to witness it

No it was only 4-0 when Venlo went down to 10 players.

You still don't expect to ship 9 goals in the last 35 minutes of a game though.

The 9-2 v Saints was at Easter Road and if memory serves me correctly, was Pat Stanton’s last game.

It was indeed. Mike Macdonald was in goals for us that day. I have no idea why that sticks in my mind but none of the 9 goals.

Was it as long ago as that? Funnily enough, I had a vague recollection I was at the game with my dad. He was still alive then, so maybe my memory isn’t as bad as I thought - apart from getting the team from the East coast wrong LOL

Of course. Forgot the Rosenborg game.
Not sure about the Kilmarnock score would need to check that one.
There was a recent 8-1 though. Cup game against Bonnyrigg Rose at Tynie. That was as good a chance to see 10 but wasn’t to be.

Hibs Rosenberg 9-1 they scored first to level the tie at 3-3 thought this might be tougher than I thought. 😂
