I love the comments claiming that when Hibs lose games against Hearts it's because the Fans are too negative.

    It's real comedy gold.

Already this season there have been a number of games we’ve seen out with slender one goal leads. Could be coincidence but I think it’s benefitting us

People who say Hearts are a Championship side, let's not forget how we won it, they certainly don't.

Exactly. We weren’t a championship club back then and they aren’t now. They have some decent players who can hurt us if we aren’t up for it as much as they are. Best thing the team can do is treat hearts like they are another prem club which they are in all but name. Their squad is better than most in the prem on paper.

We have the better squad and should win this so anything less is a huge disappointment but it won’t be the walkover some expect

Jack not giving much away in his pre game press conference. Two out with two returning. I'd take that as Stevenson and Mallan (I think) out with Murphy and Wright returning
"A couple missing and a couple back" was what he said, which hopefully means two of the entire squad are n/a, rather than two totally new injuries. The wry smile on his face as he said it shows that he is not too concerned and if you were playing poker against him you would suspect he is holding a strong hand. So the "two missing" hopefully includes Allan with Murphy and Wright available again.

You aren't fussed if Hibs win only their 11th major honour ever? Can't agree with that at all. Winning trophies is what it's all about
Under normal circumstances I’d totally agree with you

They are Championship on merit. With a better squad than they have now they managed less points than we have now after 12 games.

Anything can happen on the day but let’s not give any merit to the fact they are there by accident. They are a decent Championship team just now and that’s that.

What’s worth more financially. It’s not a normal season. We need to do anything to bring income into the club. I want both. But 3rd will put us ina better place for next season when other clubs could be in a real mess.
As if Rangers or Celtic could be in a real mess ... gimme a cup final over 3rd place everytime.

What was the outlandish thing you said the last time before you disappeared?

    Rocky

    Lewis/doig
    Halnon
    Porteous
    Mcginn

    Mallan
    Newell
    Gogic
    Boyle

    Nisbet
    Doidge

Depending on how Jamie Murphy is, I'd maybe start him instead of mallan, but given hearts may look to sit deep, mallan's ability to shoot from deep may come in handy.

That's what you'd expect the starting line up to be Shirley.
I'd be surprised if Murphy starts. Based on form in recent matches, esp Killie, then the first to be hooked (for Murphy) unless he improves considerably should be Boyle. But here's hoping Hampden suits him and he rips them to shreds, getting at least one goal, one assist and one of them sent off.

This is our problem who cares about finishing 3rd? I want to pump hearts and get to a cup final fans or no fans
I'd take finishing 2nd (CL spot) over a cup final.

Essentially a full blown Scottish 'hurricane' forecast for the match tomorrow. Can't imagine that suits us, tbh.

Very very nervous today which is not yet mitigated by any of the usual excitement.

I guess finishing second in the league would be a more notable achievement than finishing second in the cup. Because I dont fancy us against Celtic and I never fancy us against Aberdeen.

But I'm desperate for revenge against Hearts. They financially cheated their way to 2 Scottish Cups, and humiliated us en route both times. The 2012 final was a dark, dark day for our club.

We now have a chance to put that right and we'll be unlikely to get this chance again any time soon, so I'm desperate that we take it.

But we've been kicked in the nuts so many times when a Hibs win is on the cards, so any kind of a win will do.

Can’t wait to moan after the game about how he started Mallan when Murphy was on the bench and would have been a much better selection for the left midfield role.

Forecast for tomorrow at 5pm is rain and 25mph wind. Not really a hurricane but not too pleasant.

I can imagine there'll be lots of long distance shots at goal, which will be awkward for the keepers in that wind.

I'd take 10th and a cup final because it means beating them at Hampden.

It will be a very competitive game tomorrow, meaning loads of free kicks, for that reason Mallan must play tomorrow.

Not for me. I can’t remember the last time Malian scored from a free kick and wouldn’t pick him on the off chance we get one in a decent position. Magennis starts for me.

It's going to be very close with only the odd goal in it

Anyone who thinks it will be easy has obviously not learned anything from march because the same thing was being said before that game

We're a different animal and going to outplay them with our far better players. Halkett with be having nightmares about Martin Boyle running at him tonight. Hibs -1 is the bet
