I've often wondered what happens if you're on a 10 day holiday and you test positive after day 5. Who picks up the tab if you need to isolate in your hotel and you need to extend your stay for a period of time and rebook your flight home?

Unless they have insurance specifically for that purpose, I'd imagine it would be the holidaymaker themself that would have to pay.

It will depend on your travel insurance but I would suspect the individual is most likely to pick up the tab as they travelled knowing the risks. Soem people with an annual policy taken before mid March might be covered

Don't really get excited at the thought of international football nowadays either. However I wonder if Scotland were more successful and qualified for tournaments, if we would all feel differently?
I would. I’m desperate to hear the national anthem at a tournament.

I absolutely agree if anyone has booked a holiday recently but what happens if your holiday was booked pre-Covid?

No option to cancel without losing all your money and if you pick up the virus over there then that's perhaps a bit different.

If you had booked travel insurance (good) before mid March then I think you would be covered albeit I could see a bit of a battle with the insurer.

He played 120 minutes 2 days ago, surely both teams would need to fully self isolate?

I genuinely can't remember an instance of a player testing positive less than 48 hours after playing a match. The incubation period of the virus means he was infected when he played on Thursday against Scotland.

Stewart Armstrong this week. Played For Southampton on Sunday, tested positive by Tuesday. Only those deemed close contacts isolate.

    Ok cheers.

There seems to be a huge amount of football players who have now tested positive. Fortunately I don't think a single one seems to have had anything more than at worst mild symptoms with it (or atleast it's not been reported if they have).

When the Scotland team celebrated the way they (understandably) did after winning on penalties I did think that if one of them has it, they’ll all have it.

I predict that over the next week, post-international and pre-OF game that this becomes the biggest pantomime we’ve experienced yet.

    It’s going to be mental.

I think football has to get on with it. There will be times when some teams are disadvantaged and times when it will be in there favour. We suffered with Gogic v Aberdeen. Hopefully it’ll favour us down the line.

    I agree.

It’s the nonsense surrounding any OF game, let alone this one, that I object to.

I also question the wisdom of International football taking place right now. I wonder if it might be more trouble than it’s worth.

Although giving exasperated folk something interesting to watch on tv isn’t a bad idea at all.

It’s a worry that we haven’t heard whether Rocky has been cleared or not....

Would we hear if his test was fine? Maybe through word of mouth but doubt it would be through press or the club. They don't usually make announcement for players that are ok.

I’d imagine we wouldn’t find out until Wednesday when their team is announced.
