The Officially Unofficial Bi-Annual TDD Thread:

    Hullo darlings,

Well, here it is. Man’s Christmas Day.

I’ve got an intensive driving course starting today so I’ll be out the game from 9 until 1pm but I’ll be back afterwards for a caper.

Forget potential signings, let’s discuss our own transfer policy when it comes to some serious snackage. What are you packing today?

Cupboards are bare for me so I’ll need to make a rushed trip to my local convenience store to get some meal deals over the line.

Onto the posting activity, what can we expect? Will MWHibbies argue that today isn’t TDD? Will The 90+2 become The The 90+2 by tomorrow morning? Will any of our ITK specialists get ahead of the game and announce players before Hibs do? Will my TDD sidekick nonshinyfinish provide another sterling show? Can we rely on One Day Soon to once again rise to the top and supplement this thread with some cracking snack based input?

And will Natalie Sawyer make a comeback?

    Let’s do this...

I was working a farmers market at the weekend so got some award winning cheddar from St Andrews, some beautiful chilli jam from Perthshire, sea salt crackers, some nice chocolate, some crisps and beers in the fridge.

Going to be glued to this in the hope we sign another top player in addition to KM - I think Hallberg could go out too before the window slams shut!

    Now where’s that yellow tie!

Got a really good home made chocolate cake yesterday which was ideal for the occasion but unfortunately due to a car boot packing error it now looks like it was designed and baked by Mrs doctor Budge.

Have it on good authority that we’ll announce Magennis today. You heard it here first.

Yes! I was hoping this thread would appear, got the day off, 2 kids packed off to school and hoping do ditch the mrs and baby in favour of the bounty I’ve just got in from asda

Couple of hibs signings would be alright as well I suppose

About the same as me managing an episode of Longbangers without disgracing myself.

Magennis is done. To be announced 5 mins before deadline though and all hibbys are happy with just that. Announce Magennis now and everyone waits to see who is next and how long to the window slamming up until it closes with no further additions - we all lose our **** :)

Carpet fitters in this morning, acceptable to scrimp on the biscuits with their tea to keep them all for myself?

Either way it’s happening, curious as to just how order I’m being though.

Once again TDD falls on a non working day for me, although I do actually have some work to do which is a pain. Never mind, McCoys meaty selection were on offer in Tesco yesterday so I’ve got the multipack to see me through the day.

'Bounty' meaning treasure, or have you literally bought a load of the coconut-based chocolate bar?

I love a Bounty, especially the dark chocolate version, but it's more polarising than Neil Lennon.

I was meant to start today with a few lectures, but they have been moved to later this week, giving me plenty of time to prioritise TDD instead.

Fortunately, I have an Asda order arriving at 11.30, which will provide some much needed shelf fillers.

Plenty of chocolate in the cupboards at the moment, so reckon I'll struggle to wait until the afternoon to tan a packet of Mikado.

Dashed to the Co-op to pick up a meal deal. Breakfast triple never fails, along S&V McCoys, a bottle of Dr Pepper and a chicken and pesto pasta chaser. Already done in a bacon roll from the snack van at East Mains in Broxburn. For afternoon snack we've got great granny's coffee cake to see us over the finish line. I might pick up a wee McDonalds for the long drive to the Borders this evening.

I'm off to make some porridge with a desert spoonful of raisins.

    Any good?

Edit: I have got my homemade spicy carrot and chorizo soup for lunch which might tick a few boxes.

(You want the recipe for that, trust me!)

Is Co-op your meal deal preference, or just a convenience thing for where you stay?

Tesco wins out for me. Still raging that Co-op took wraps and baguettes off their deal.

The snack choices in Co-op elevate them to peak meal deal choice, IMO. With tesco a close second
