I did think we were decent for the first half hour and couldn’t believe we were losing at that point. But the reason we were, for me, was because we weren’t very good going forward, in that we didn’t make the most of our opportunities.Last edited by B.H.F.C; 27-09-2020 at 08:05 PM.

We did not work their goalkeeper and he did not make one save
If a team came to Easter Road and never tested our keeper you would think pretty pathetic really almost disgracefulLast edited by BILLYHIBS; 28-09-2020 at 07:10 AM.

Am I the only one that expected us to win or at the very least score never mind actually getting a shot on target?

I still cannot believe they were 2-0 up at half time

I thought we had a chance going into the game and was fairly optimistic. We created chances that on another day we’d have scored and actually probably created more against Celtic than most teams will.Follow the Hibs podcast, Longbangers, on Twitter (@longbangers)

The whole point of my post was to provide a counter argument to ‘not disgraced’ as no actual shots on target and a keeper making no saves is pretty poor
I guess after 60 years I am just sick and tired of going to Darkheid and getting our bi-annual doing
I am out - onwards and upwards to Friday

Jack Ross and his team have already moved on
Need to get back in the saddle on Friday
Let’s see what happens?

"Oh we got beat but you didn't just slaughter the team and call them disgraceful, you must be happy to accept it"
Jack Ross and his team will be reviewing the match today or tomorrow, looking at positive and negative points so no, they haven't moved on. They'll be looking back over it, seeing where we can improve and where we did well, not just saying "no shots on target lads, ****ing disgraceful"

Overall I thought we played ok had a few chances and failed to test their keeper. The gap between the Old Firm and the rest is going be over 25 points by the end of the season. Taking anything of them is a bonus. Our aim is to beat the rest of the clubs to third. Hamilton is a more important game as it’s one we all expect to win

It’s amazing how much quicker you get over a bad result when you’re not there. Following a 3-0 away defeat the mood would have been down and the next few hours a depressing post mortem into why it happened. Instead it was just close YouTube and carry on with doing something else. Was briefly disappointed then forgot all about it - armchair viewing is definitely less stressful!

I expected us to get beat, but I'm still disappointed that we did. Does that make sense?
I'm also disappointed that we didn't score, or that their goalie was untroubled for 90 minutes. We need to do better than that the next time we play them... or I'm handing my Season Ticket back ;-)

OK, that was a bit over the top, but I stand by the rest of it.

Positives from yesterday were that we created a few chances just a pity that we couldn't trouble their keeper. A hard job, winning, was made near impossible in the 8th minute.

It was a free shot against Celtic you’ve got to have a go and you have got to work the keeper and most importantly you have got to keep the ball
Celtic don’t like crosses into their box either

On paper a 3-0 scoreline is a humping and people only see the score and think that was easy for Celtic which it was tbf. We got into good positions but never got the little bit of luck on the day combined with a little under par finishing from our forwards. Having no shots on target at Parkhead is a little disappointing but few teams will take points from them there this season except maybe Rangers in a few weeks time. I didn't expect us to win but I did expect us to compete a little better.

We quite clearly had a go, you are only looking at one statistic and judging everything from it. Would it really make any difference if we had 7 shots on target and still lost 3-0?

That Hecky game in the Scottish Cup still gives me sleepless nights
I can guarantee if Lenny was our Manager that night Celtic were out
There is no way he would have allowed Broonie the freedom of Easter Road
To answer your question YES better to have fought and lost than not have fought at all
Fortune favours the brave
Who knows one might have gone in
We will never know because the keeper was never tested
He looked dodgy first half when he spilled Squirrel’s crossLast edited by BILLYHIBS; 28-09-2020 at 12:29 PM.

Hecky thought it was a good idea just to sit back
Scott Brown scored one of the goals IIRC
