    Nisbet miss

Don't have sky, so just heard about the miss on the radio - and read about it on hibs.net obviously. Then heard it mentioned in the BBC post-match interview with Jack Ross. So I was curious to see it in the sportscene "highlights" - where, obviously, it didn't feature..

    Any footage?

    Anything else missed by Sportscene?

Do you mean Nisbet’s brilliant shot on the turn that looked a goal all the way until McLaughlin pulled off a fantastic save and managed to turn it round the post ?

He had a fresh air swipe at the ball right in front of goal 5 yards out just before Barasic pulled Doidge to the ground for the penalty which wasn’t given.

Was it not a bit behind him? I thought he was trying to backheel it to Doidge before he was pulled down

I can’t think of another chance he had, he was outstanding today.

    United we stand here....

Wasn’t a miss. Ball was behind him and he couldn’t get to it.

Did sportscene genuinely not show this chance, incredible if they didnt

I read it described as a sitter but I'd struggle to agree with that. He may well be a bit disappointed not to have tucked it away but it wasn't a sitter.

Incredible if it never made the highlights. It was one of the
major incidents in the game. And yes it was a sitter that Nisbet missed, should have scored. Maybe slightly behind him but still, bad miss.

Didn't see the game but the radio boys were pretty much speechless that Hibs didn't score - was keen to see it on the highlights...

Was not a "sitter" as such.

Ball dropped behind him and was cleared before he had chance to move his feet.

The radio guys were probably still upset that we had scored already.

I assume you mean the one where he just needs to tap it in from Doidge’s rebound. That’s the one I just saw on Sportscene anyway.

He will score more than he will miss.

Porteous had the shot. I think it was slightly inconclusive as to whether it was a bad miss or not.

Agreed. The sitters were the chances missed by Arfield and Kent and magnificently saved by Marciano.

I would put that one down to bad luck rather than a bad miss. IIRC The ball came back just behind him at about waist height and he couldn't adjust quick enough.

Aside from this miss, his touch, spin then volley effort in the first half was top class. So good to have two quality strikers again.

I saw that and as screaming at the screen. I ended up watch game with no volume as McCoist and Boyd were dong my head in with the Rangers bias,, was it even picked up in any analysis?

They showed it on sportscene Not so much a miss in that it was a poor shot or anything like that, he just misses the ball completely inside the box although to be fare the bounce takes it away from him.

It was shown on sportscene as suggested above. in the same incident the commentator says that Doidge is looking for a penalty there yet no forensic analysis during or after the highlights. Not sure if Beeb can only show what Sky gives them or if they have their own cameras there too but when you get a replay of just about everything else why not that when the commentators called it out?

Thought Nisbett looked really sharp and dangerous when he had his few opportunities - he also worked hard helping the team out in defence - strikers will always miss a few so-called "sitters": it happens - he did a lot of good on the park that impressed, good signing for us.

I think the one your referring too was his shot that he hit early which dragged wide, decent enough effort and would probably have caught the keeper out with how quick he took it. I don’t remember seeing it on sportscene.

Surely a pen on doidge, red card for denying a clear goal scoring opportunity
