    Gogic

I’m surprised no one has given this guy a thread of his own. I thought he was tremendous today and just what we were needing in that midfield. A great bit of business by Jack Ross.

Once again a very good display.

I only managed to catch the last 30 minutes but I thought Newell also played well.

Ironic that the only game we have lost this season was the one he was forced to sit out for no valid reason.

Absolutely what we have been lacking in midfield for the past 2 seasons. Colossus for us today against Sevco, if we can find another ball carrying dynamic central mid to play alongside him
we could have a real team on our hands this season

Class act. We’d still be unbeaten if he played vs Aberdeen IMO.

He did but he won’t entirely silence the doubters after today.

Tidy on the ball, energetic and brave enough. He’s a good player. But he does lack a little dynamism. Arguably he did the job he needed to do today and could have cost us if he’d been caught upfield, but he’s not one to break at speed and really drive us forward.

Gogic and Newell does give us good balance in the midfield though.

Some say he blinked once in the 90s.

Love him. Brings so much to the team. Whenever he closes down and pressurises opposition players it is done as a matter of urgency. Has tremendous energy and reads the game superbly. Wins so much in the air too. Our defence must love having him there.

Thought our midfield 3 Wright Newall And Gogic had very good games and although Huns had most of the ball they were kept off our back 3 very well

thats not ironic. If he was our best player and the only match he was missing was the only match we won, that would be ironic. Apologies for the pedantry, I blame Alanis Morisette.

Fantastic energy he has, rarely makes a bad decision, has a great range of passing and not afraid of a challenge.... and I can see him getting a few goals... love the guy.

One thing he doesn't lack is dynamism

I'd be looking to get his contract extended already. Was only a 2 year he signed?

Yup. I would reward his start and how well he has done for the team.

Question is will Ross still be here in 2 years..

Hibs should be looking at options by January.

He’s 26 and still got his best ahead of him.

He breaks up play well but often just lumbs the ball forward. If he can gain a little bit more composure on the ball he’ll be here for a season and move on as his combative style is made for the English championship. He’s the type of player we’ve needed for a while and will be vital against championship hoofballers at Hampden. I just wish he was a better passer of the ball

You just knew he would be a good signing. He’s exactly what we needed.

Been saying this since the start of the season. He has made a difference, no doubt about it but his use of the ball could be a lot better and his colleagues can help by making themselves more available when he gains possession.

Love his work rate and energy. Newell played very well yesterday too. I struggle to see how both can keep up that sort of work rate, game in, game out, however.

I still feel we’re outnumbered in midfield, and should play a three. I’m surprised Mallan hasn’t been seen as an option with Allan out.

Have to agree. Thought he was mom or Nisbet, Boyle was also excellent.
But Gogic just harassed and bullied the opposition attack, breaking down play, winning balls, good passing most of the time, great energy. Fantastic stuff.

Don’t think his passing is that bad.
I guess if he was spraying it about as well as doing the other stuff, he wouldn’t be wearing a Hibs strip. He needs Newell, Mallan, Allan etc to be available for when he wins the balll, turn defence to attack more effectively.
But he’s a great addition to this team.
